Checked shortly after the start when tightened for room between GREAT KEPPELL and EIRA, which was taken in by VINCO. Stewards questioned M. Cahill regarding the performance of TUNERO, which was a noticeable market drifter. Jockey Cahill stated that after being bumped heavily at the start and settling in a rearward position he felt his mount performed reasonably well, considering, in his view, it would perform better over distances further than that of today’s event. TUNERO was sent to be sampled.
