Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages. Near the 900 metres had to be restrained from the heels of GOLDSCHLAGER. ADELAIDE’S DIAMOND continued to race fiercely and near the 800 metres struck the heels of GOLDSCHLAGER. Rider T Wolfgram added the gelding raced greenly for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
