Steadied from heels whilst weakening near the 500m. When questioned by Stewards in relation to the gelding’s seemingly disappointing performance, jockey T. Brooker advised that after beginning well she obtained the leading position, without having to overly pressure the gelding. She added that the gelding travelled reasonably throughout however, in her opinion, it was not suited by the tight turning track and may be better suited being ridden back in the field if circumstances permit. Stewards noted the explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
