Raced 3 wide without cover in the early stages before striding forward to obtain the position outside the leader passing the 700m. When asked to comment on the performance, trainer D. Vandyke advised that the mare was second up today and had improved from its first run. He added that the mare’s second up record is quite good, and with the step up in distance today and its improved fitness, he had expected a forward showing today. Stewards noted the explanation.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare had bled from both nostrils. Trainer C. Anderson was advised that the mare will be ineligible to race for 3 months and prior to resuming racing must perform satisfactorily in a 1000m gallop in the presence of a Steward.
Bumped by HONEY BABY on jumping. Held up from the 400m until approaching the 200m.
Began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly and, in doing so, crowded FEARLESS QUEEN and KOKOPO KITTY.
Bumped on jumping, and was then crowed and lost considerable ground. Steadied to avoid the heels of I AM VENUS approaching the 250m and shifted wider on the track to secure clear running. Improved onto heels approaching the 100m and was unable to obtain clear running and went to the line without being tested.
Began awkwardly. Raced 3 wide with cover from the 800m.
Reared in the barriers prior to the start being effected. Laid in and brushed the running rail passing the 900m.
Began awkwardly and bumped KOKOPO KITTY.
