Jockey E. Smith was dislodged in the mounting enclosure prior to entering the track, sustaining a harmless fall and was cleared to ride. Began awkwardly and made heavy contact with the barrier partition and shifted out. Then when racing three wide with cover passing the 800m and had to be steadied when tightened for room between CYCLONE TOPGIRL, which shifted out and SNEAKY SNIPER, which laid in despite the efforts of its rider. Jockey N. Day, rider of CYCLONE TOPGIRL, was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
