When asked to comment on the performance, D. Browne indicated that the horse did not travel comfortably at any stage of the event and he was obliged to niggle the horse in order to hold a midfield position and was very disappointing in the run to the line. Trainer L. Gough advised that he could offer no explanation for the horses disappointing performance. He added that the gelding appeared to have pulled up well and that veterinary tests would be carried out on the horse in coming days, the results of which he would report to stewards.
