D. Browne was asked to comment on the horse’s performance. He indicated that it had been his intention to ride in a forward position, however, the filly began awkwardly and was slow to muster speed and he was therefore obliged to take up a position in the second half of the field where the horse did not race comfortably and was somewhat field shy. He added that in his opinion the horse is better suited to rain-affected track conditions and that today’s good surface may have had a bearing on the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
