Jumped away awkwardly, causing its rider to become unbalanced. The horse then made contact with another runner which resulted in the horse stepping sideways. This caused jockey R. Maloney to be dislodged and fall shortly after the start. Jockey Maloney was examined by the Club doctor, who also reviewed the race footage and was satisfied that no further medical review was required of jockey Maloney.
