Hung out from the 800m, gradually shifting wider on the track, and took no competitive part in the event from the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings, however the veterinary surgeon noted that the horse had had a previous knee injury. Trainer B. Lockwood was advised that, prior to racing again, the horse must officially trial on two occasions and would require a veterinary clearance.
