When asked to comment on the disappointing performance, jockey M. Cahill indicated that at no stage did he feel the horse travelled comfortably in the rain affected conditions, and this was the only tangible explanation he could offer for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer D. VanDyke in the coming days in regards to the horse’s performance.
