Jumped awkwardly, making heavy contact with the barrier partition and losing ground. Had a tendency to lay out between the 800m and 400m. Jockey S. Cormack, rider of REMLAPS ROCK, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that after shifting to a positon one off the fence he then allowed his mount to shift in whilst riding under heavy pressure, resulting in the horse shifting back in towards the fence, tightening the running of RABBIT HUNTER, which had improved to the inside of REMLAPS ROCK at that stage, causing the rider of that horse to check the gelding after being tightened
