A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which finished a distant last, revealed the horse was lame in the near fore tendon. Trainer K. Lees advised stewards in light of today’s performance the horse would now be retired from racing. Mr Lees was advised that should circumstances change, he must supply a veterinary clearance before DOUKHAN is permitted to race again.
