When asked to comment on disappointing performance rider M Rodd stated with the addition of blinkers for the first time today CRYPTO TYCOON pulled hard throughout the event and refused to settle. A post-race veterinary examination determined the gelding to have a poor post-race recovery. A post-race swab sample was taken from the gelding. Trainer N McCall advised Stewards it would now be her intention to remove blinkers from CRYPTO TYCOON and that she would consider dropping the horse back in distance for its next race start.
