Slow to begin. When questioned regarding performance, jockey M Du Plessis reported that the gelding overraced and proved difficult to settle which placed his mount in a tight position near the 600m and caused him to steady further. He added that his mount would derive benefit from the run and he would be recommending to connections to remove the blinkers.
