Raced three wide without cover throughout. Bumped on the hind quarters near the 150m and became unbalanced and on returning to scale M. Hellyer reported that from this point the filly did not travel comfortably so he desisted from riding the horse out over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the filly had sustained lacerations to both hind legs consistent with being galloped on and was treated accordingly.
