Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Apprentice N. Keal advised that the mare, which performed disappointingly despite racing wide, had felt short in its action on returning to scale. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be short in its action, however it was not lame. The trainer’s representative, Mr. J. Banks, undertook to advise Stewards should anything come to light in the coming days regarding the horse’s post-race recovery.
