Thompson reported that from the wide barrier he was forced to work early to obtain a forward position and, as a result, the mare commenced to overrace in the early stages. He added that, from this point, his mount travelled comfortably throughout however when placed under pressure, the mare failed to run on as he had expected and proved disappointing.
