  6. Julia Creek Dirt & Dust Festival

Julia Creek Dirt & Dust Festival

The Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Festival join forces with the Julia Creek Turf Club to present the Artesian Express Race Day.

It is a fantastic day of country racing for visitors to the region, who can rub shoulders with locals and visitors alike. Horses from all around the North West will be competing at one of the richest race meetings in North West Queensland.

The race day includes the exclusive Country Tastes Luncheon, Fashions on the Field, roving children's entertainment and good old fashioned novelty games entertainment for the kids and big kids alike!

Gates open at midday and the first race is at 12:30pm.

Each year we say it, because each year we prove it - bush racing is alive and doing stronger than ever!

Fashion on the Field is a big part of the Julia Creek Dirt n Dust Race Day! The quality of fashions we continue to see each year during this event are simply stunning, they wouldn’t be out of place at Flemington or Randwick! But don’t be scared, there will be others that are there exhausted from the Triathlon who have only just managed to pull on clean clothes. Julia Creek is the sort of town where nothing is out of place…
