Race 1 HENDERSON BLACK Injured in running, head, 10 days
Race 7 ON TIGHT LINES Injured in running, off side hock, 21 days
PENCIL was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start. HENDERSON BLACK jumped awkwardly and contacted the lid of the starting boxes as the start was effected. PENCIL was marginally slow to begin. FEARSOME MISS checked off the heels of I’M LATE and lost ground entering the back straight. Shortly after MADDY’S RASCAL checked off the heels of I’M LATE and lost ground. FEARSOME MISS checked off the heels of I’M LATE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.
The greyhound MADDY’S RASCAL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
The greyhound PENCIL was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards issued a warning against this greyhound as the performance was bordering on Unsatisfactory Performance.
The greyhound HENDERSON BLACK was vetted and
found to have suffered an injury to the head and was stood down for a period of
10 days.
ABBEY KEBABBEY was best to begin. LITE ME UP knuckled over shortly after the start and fell. AFRICANO checked off the heels of RAISE THE ALARM and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight. FANCY THURSDAY checked across the heels of AFRICANO on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to ATOMIC ACE. GUDERA YAKOLEV raced wide on the turn into the home straight. FANCY THURSDAY and ATOMIC ACE bumped on the turn into the home straight. AFRICANO shifted out entering the home straight resulting in GUDERA YAKOLEV checking across its heels.
The greyhound LITE ME UP was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 331m
Even start with a GUDERA POLIKAPOV marginally slow to begin and COOP DEVILLE very slow to begin. DANNI’S CHOICE checked off the heels of JUST A THURSDAY and lost ground in the back straight. DANNI’S CHOICE and HANNAH ALLEN bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground. BETTA BE RIGHT raced wide on the turn out of the back straight resulting in GUDERA POLIKAPOV checking off its heels and losing ground. JUST A THURSDAY and VENUS IN FUR bumped just prior to the finish line.
Race 4 – Maiden Final 331m
GRUMBLE MISS was best to begin.
CONDOR, SOHPIE’S GIRL and ALOTA THOUGHT slow to begin. SOHPIE’S GIRL knuckled over and lost some
ground shortly after the start. NIGHT’S
WATCH checked off the heels of CASS’ CASS and lost ground prior to entering the
back straight. ALOTA THOUGHT and CONDOR
raced wide in the back straight. CONDOR
raced wide on the turn out of the back straight and continuing wide into the
front straight. DESTRUSTOR shifted out
on the turn into the home straight across the heels of GRUMBLE MISS and then
across the heels of NIGHT’S WATCH.
CONDOR raced wide in the home straight.
Race 5 – Novice 331m
The start of this race was delayed 1 minute due to overseas racing.
MRS. CAPE was best to begin. FABULOUS ABBY was marginally slow to begin. MAGIC ESCAPE was slow to begin. MRS. CAPE and MAGIC ESCAPE bumped entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing some ground. DEE BEE TEN improved onto the heels of LEADFOOT EXPRESS in the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground and causing interference to MRS. CAPE, JAGGED IMAGE, MAGIC ESCAPE and LOVE YOU A LOT. JAGGED IMAGE checked off the heels of MAGIC ESCAPE and lost ground in the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to DEE BEE TEN. MRS. CAPE checked off the heels of MAGIC ESCAPE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to DEE BEE TEN. LOVE YOU ALOT and JAGGED IMAGE bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in LOVE YOU ALOT becoming unbalanced and checking across the heels of JAGGED IMAGE.
Race 6 – Novice 331m
JAZZ ME UP was best to begin. CHERYL VALE was slow to begin. TINIE TEMPAH checked off the heels of KILDONAN KID and lost ground in the back straight. NO BIFFO checked off the heels of SUGAR RAY ROSSO and lost ground prior to entering into the back straight. CHERYL VALE raced wide in the back straight. CHERYL VALE continued to race wide from the back straight into and down the home straight.
Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 395m
The start of this race was delayed 1.5 minutes due to interstate harness racing.
FABULOUS WALL was best to begin. LAKODA DAWN checked off the heels of STUART’S CHOICE and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to WINGED ELITE. STUART’S CHOICE checked off the heels on ON TIGHT LINES and lost ground prior to entering the back straight. STUART’S CHOICE checked off the heels of LAKODA DAWN and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight. CLASSIC TYCOON and KENTUCKY KAHN bumped on the turn out of the back straight. LAKODA DAWN, STUART’S CHOICE and KENTUCKY KAHN bumped just prior to the finish line.
The greyhound ON TIGHT LINES was vetted and
found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a
period of 21 days.
Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 395m
KINGSBRAE BUDDY was best to begin. ANJA and KNOCK FOR ME were marginally slow to begin. ANJA checked off the heels of SHEBA’S DIVA and lost some ground approaching the turn into the back straight. Shortly after ANJA checked off the heels of OVER HERE and became unbalanced and bumped KNOCK FOR ME resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. OVER HERE raced wide into the back straight and continued wide down the back straight. ANJA raced wide in the back straight. ARABIAN MELODY checked off the heels of KNOCK FOR ME on the turn out of the back straight. ANJA raced wide in the home straight.
The greyhound ANJA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. F Hancock who stated the interference the greyhound suffered early in the race certainly didn’t help with the performance of the greyhound. He further stated that he was disappointed with the run and stated that he would now be concentrating on working the greyhound up to the 520m races.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 395m
EARLY SHIRLEY was best to begin. DAVID’S MEMORY, SHE’S MY DARLING, EARLY SHIRLEY and HARA’S SAMUEL all raced very tight into the 1st turn after the start, resulting in DAVID’S MEMORY becoming unbalanced losing ground and causing interference to OKA’S ANGEL. HARA’S SAMUEL and EARLY SHIRLEY also lost ground as a result. DAVID’S MEMORY checked off the heels of CALL ME AUSSIE and lost ground entering the back straight. EARLY SHIRLEY checked off the heels of SHE’S MY DARLING and lost ground entering the back straight. HARA’S SAMUEL checked off the heels of SHE’S MY DARLING and lost some ground on the back straight. RIKASSO LILLY raced wide on the turn out of the back straight. RIKASSO LILLY and DAVID’S MEMORY raced wide in the home straight.
The greyhound EARLY SHIRLEY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 395m
Even start with JACK MURRAY slow to begin. HARDLINER, GAGAN NANCY and HARA’S SIZZLE all bumped approaching the 1st turn after the start resulting in GAGAN NANCY and HARA’S SIZZLE losing ground. INNER WISDOM and BOSANOVA bumped approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in BLACK PARADOX checking off the heels INNER WISDOM losing ground. INNER WISDOM raced wide into the back straight. BOSANOVA raced wide in the back straight. GAGAN NANCY checked across the heels of FABULOUS GARY and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight. BLACK PARADOX raced onto the hindquarters of BOSANOVA in the front straight just prior to the finish line resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.
Race 11 – 5th Grade 331m
SON OF PRADA was best to begin. HOW’S IT CRUDE was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.
Race 12 – Masters 395m
Even start with NOT WORTH IT marginally slow to begin. WALLY WHO CALLS checked off the heels of SIGN POST and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to BONNIE WINSLOW. SIGN POST and BLUE DEN bumped in the back straight resulting in SIGN POST losing some ground. JEEPSTER checked across the heels of BONNIE WINSLOW and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.
