Race 9 MOCHA LATTE Injured in running, off side pin, 21 days
Even start with BLUE POINTER marginally slow to begin and BATTY LOVES BEER slow to begin. THURSDAY WISH and TIJUANA TEMPO bumped shortly after the start resulting in THURSDAY WISH becoming unbalanced and losing some ground. TIJUANA TEMPO and FINITO bumped approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion. BLUE POINTER checked across the heels of FINITO and lost some ground prior to turning out of the front straight on the 1st occasion. SNOW RUNNER checked off the heels of BLUE POINTER on the turn out of the front straight and lost ground and then checked across the heels of BATTY LOVES BEER. BATTY LOVES BEER shifted out across the heels of BLUE POINTER on the turn out of the front straight bumping FLASHING FEAR causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and race wide. FINITO and TIJUANA TEMPO bumped on the turn out of the front straight. FINITO checked off the heels of TIJUANA TEMPO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. BLUE POINTER and MISS CORELKO bumped on the turn into the back straight. THURSDAY WISH checked off the heels and hindquarters of MISS CORELKO and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight. FLASHING FEAR was forced to race wide on the turn out of the back straight. TIJUANA TEMPO and BATTY LOVES BEER bumped in the home straight causing some inconvenience to both greyhounds. SNOW RUNNER and MISS CORELKO bumped just prior to the finish line.
The greyhound THURSDAY WISH was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

MADE THAT WAY was best to begin. PACIFIC HARBOUR and SUPER VELO were marginally slow to begin. SPRING BONANZA was tightened for racing room and checked off the heels of UP THE ATTITUDE on the turn out of the front straight resulting in interference to PACIFIC HARBOUR, COSMIC BOSS and LAURYN’S BEST. PACIFIC HARBOUR and COSMIC BOSS lost considerable ground as a result of the incident.
The greyhound COSMIC BOSS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – 5th
Grade 520m
Even start with VEGAS BOUND slow to begin. MESSIDONNA CLOUD was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start. CLOVER COTTAGE, RUSTY’S IMAGE and PACIFIC CHAMP all bumped in the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in RUSTY’S IMAGE and PACIFIC CHAMP losing some ground. OREO DELIGHT checked off the heels of CLOVER COTTAGE and became unbalanced on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in interference to BRAGA MCCOY. OREO DELIGHT shifted out causing interference to RUSTY’S IMAGE forcing PACIFIC CHAMP and MESSIDONNA CLOUD wide. BRAGA MCCOY checked off the heels of OREO DELIGHT and lost ground prior to entering the back straight. PACIFIC CHAMP and RUSTY’S IMAGE raced wide in the back straight. PACIFIC CHAMP and RUSTY’S IMAGE raced wide in the home straight.
Race 4 – 5th
Grade 520m
Even start with PARCHMENT marginally slow to begin. LORIAN ADITI checked off the heels of AZARIAH
on the turn out of the front straight resulting in LORIAN ADITI losing
ground. BLUE TARTAN shifted out on the
turn out of the front straight bumping LORIAN ADITI causing that greyhound to
lose ground. BLUE TARTAN continued
shifting out bumping OUTSIDE PASS, causing some inconvenience to that
greyhound. LORIAN ADITI checked off the
heels of BLUE TARTAN and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. PARCHMENT checked off the heels of TRAV’S
MAGIC and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight. LORIAN ADITI bumped on the turn into the home
straight. LORIAN ADITI completed the
race with a broke muzzle strap which may have put the greyhound at some
disadvantage.
Race 5 – 4/5th
Grade 520m
Even start. CYNDIE’S MAGIC and WAIKARIE WARRIOR bumped in the front straight causing CYNDIE’S MAGIC to lose ground. CERVELO crossed from a wide position shortly after the start checking SHYAN YAHOO and WAIKARIE WARRIOR. Both greyhounds lost ground. CERVELO continued to shift bumping KIDATEE CROC causing some inconvenience to that greyhound. VEUVE and CERVELO bumped early in the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in CERVELO losing ground. CERVELO and WAIKARIE MAGIC bumped prior to turning out of the front straight on the 1st occasion. ALPHA THESEUS raced wide in the back straight.
Race 6 – 5th
Grade 600m
TAYTO was best to begin. VELOCITY SHIRL and ABBY’S MAGIC were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start. GENERAL CLOUD, NORM THE STORM and SMASHNIAK GOLD bumped on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in NORM THE STORM and SMASHNIAK GOLD losing ground. GENERAL CLOUD checked off the heels of ABBY’S MAGIC and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. TAYTO checked off the heels of NORM THE STORM and lost ground just prior to entering the back straight. GENERAL CLOUD checked off the heels of NORM THE STORM and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight. VELOCITY SHIRL checked off the heels of SARAJEVO GIRL and lost ground entering the home straight.
Race 7 – 3/4th Grade 520m
Even start. KNAVE jumped awkwardly and knuckled over as the start was effected and lost considerable ground as a result. HOPE’S MAGIC crossed from a wide position after the start tightening DON’T GO QUIETLY onto WHATA NICE SIZE onto JIMMY BRUTE onto IONA CHAMPION, resulting in WHATA NICE SIZE, JIMMY BRUTE and IONA CHAMPION being checked and losing ground. WHATA NICE SIZE and BUTCHULLA BOY bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground. DON’T GO QUIETLY and WHATA NICE SIZE bumped in the back straight causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose some ground. WHATA NICE SIZE checked off the heels of DON’T GO QUIETLY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight. BUTCHULLA BOY and WHATA NICE SIZE bumped prior to turning into the home straight resulting in WHATA NICE SIZE losing ground. WHATA NICE SIZE and JIMMY BRUTE bumped prior to entering the home straight causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground.
The greyhound KNAVE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 8 – Australia Day Final 520m
Even start. PIKELET and SWAP YA bumped prior to turning out of the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in SWAP YA becoming unbalanced and racing wide. PIKELET checked across the hindquarters of SWAP YA on the turn out of the front straight resulting in PIKELET racing wide on the turn into the back straight. SWAP YA checked off the heels of MINCIN’ MACHINE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. MINCIN’ MACHINE and MAGIC MAIDEN bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in MAGIC MAIDEN losing ground back onto SHEBA’S DIVA who also lost ground. MAGIC MAIDEN raced wide in the home straight.
Race 9 – 5th Grade 600m
Even start. CIGAR SAM checked off the heels of DEEP DESPAIR on the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in DEEP DESPAIR becoming unbalanced, shifting out bumping GUN LEGACY. MOCHA LATTE and CIGAR SAM bumped heavily on the turn into the home straight, resulting in interference to DEEP DESPAIR. MOCHA LATTE appeared injury in the front straight and took no further part in the race. MINNIE IMPACT checked across the heels of WESTERN DAVE and lost ground on the turn into the home straight.
The greyhound MOCHA LATTE was vetted and found
to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period
of 21 days.
Race 10 – 5th Grade 520m
Even start with ALPHA ADONIS marginally slow to begin. JIMMY VIXEN and LORRY DRYVA bumped shortly after the start. LORRY DRYVA and JIMMY VIXEN continued to bump shifting in bumping BRALYN BAUPLE in the front straight resulting in JIMMY VIXEN losing ground. BRALYN BAUPLE and LORRY DRYVA bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in BRALYN BAUPLE losing ground. ALPHA ADONIS and CLASSY BARCY raced wide in the back straight.
The greyhound JIMARY VIXEN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
