GENERAL

 

The greyhound SWITCH BLADE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.91 and is now cleared all tracks up to 395m only.

 

Race 1 – Maiden Heat 1 331m

Even start with STORM RAIDER slow to begin.  MAGIC MEE MAA and ELL’S ON SHOW were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  LALIQUE checked off the heels of SHAYLOR JAY and lost ground entering the back straight.  LALIQUE contacted the running rail in the back straight and lost considerable ground.  ELL’S ON SHOW, BERT’S SPECIAL and SHAYLOR JAY bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in ELL’S ON SHOW falling and taking no further part in the race, resulting in BERT’S SPECIAL and ATOMIC ACE losing considerable ground.  MAGIC MEE MAA improved onto the heels of STORM RAIDER approaching the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  BERT’S SPECIAL raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound LALIQUE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound EL’S ON SHOW was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Heat 2 331m

Even start.  GUN FLASH and LASTANGO were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  SECRET SHAY ANNA was tightened for racing room and lost considerable ground entering the back straight.  LASTANGO and DRAGON GEORGE bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  SO KAWAII checked off the heels of CLEAR SENSE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  TOOTSWEET and FEARSOME MISS bumped on several occasions on the turn into the home straight.  FEARSOME MISS raced wide into the home straight forcing LAST TANGO to race wide.

 

Race 3 – Maiden Heat 3 331m

MIDNIGHT HUSTLER was best to begin.  HARA’S WHOSH was slow to begin.  COL’S INTEREST was slow into stride as the start was effected.  ABBEY KEBABBEY and MASTER MAGOO bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight.  FROSTY ZERO checked off the heels of MIDNIGHT HUSTLER on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced causing MIDNIGHT HUSTLER to shift out checking across the heels of COL’S INTEREST.  TRIPLE BEE checked off the heels of FROSTY ZERO and lost some ground on the turn into the home straight.

 

The greyhound PANTZ WITH ANTZ was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. M James that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 331m all tracks prior to nominating.  Mr. James advised stewards that the greyhound would be retired from racing.

 

Race 4 – Maiden Final 331m

FABRA FORCE was best to begin.  HOSTESS WATKINS was marginally slow to begin.  SWIFT TRIGGER was tightened for racing room and lost some ground prior to entering the back straight.  NIGHT’S WATCH and TRELLY KNEELS bumped heavily on the turn into the back straight resulting in KNIGHT’S WATCH becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  JOHNNY MELODY shifted out approaching the turn out of the back straight bumping TRELLY KNEELS causing this greyhound to lose some ground.  HOSTESS WATKINS checked off the heels of SWIFT TRIGGER and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  FABRE FORCE shifted out on the turn out of the back straight forcing NIGHT’S WATCH to race wide and eventually checking across the heels of FABRE FORCE.  MIMMILL VALE and TRELLY KNEELS bumped on the turn into the home straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  JOHNNY MELODY and NIGHT’S WATCH bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  NIGHT’S WATCH checked across the heels of FABRE FORCE and lost some ground entering the home straight.  FABRE FORCE and NIGHT’S WATCH raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 5 – Novice 331m

Even start.  FABULOUS WAZ and FAST SHACKO bumped entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.  GAMINE and BRALYN ICE bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight.  FABULOUS WAZ raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  IMPOSSIBLE shifted out on the turn out of the back straight forcing SHEZA SENSATION to race wide.

 

Race 6 – 5th Grade 395m

Even start.  MALI COVEK was slow to begin.  VEE ROCKET checked off the heels of BRAE GIFT on the turn into the back straight resulting in VEE ROCKET becoming unbalanced, shifting out bumping SHE’S MY DARLING out onto SPRITE AND POWER, resulting in VEE ROCKET and SPRITE AND POWER losing considerable ground.  OUR ELITE checked off the heels of BRAE GIFT and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  VEE ROCKET raced wide in the back straight.  SHE’S MY DARLING checked off the heels of FABULOUS GARY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  VEE ROCKET raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  VEE ROCKET raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 395m

FABULOUS HOPE was best to begin.  CHATSWORTHY, MODERN MISS and SUPA SMOOTH OSTI bumped shortly after the start resulting in these 3 greyhounds losing some ground.  CHATSWORTHY and MODERN MISS bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in MODERN MISS becoming unbalanced and shifting out causing interference to SUPA SMOOTH OSTI and DISMANTLE.  CHATSWORTHY raced very wide on the turn into the back straight and continued wide in the back straight.  CHATSWORTHY continued to race wide on the turn out of the back straight.  DISMANTLE raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 8 – 2/3rd Grade 395m

Even start with CARDIAC KING slow to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in ARABIAN MELODY losing some ground.  KINGSBRAE BUDDY became unbalanced and lost some ground.  WAZZA KING lost considerable ground and THRILLA MOMENT lost some ground.  WAZZA KING checked off the heels of KNOCK FOR ME and lost ground just prior to entering the back straight.  KNOCK FOR ME and THRILLA MOMENT bumped entering the back straight, resulting in KNOCK FOR ME losing ground.  WAZZA KING improved onto the heels of KINGSBRAE BUDDY on the turn out of the back straight resulting in WAZZA KING becoming unbalanced and losing ground and bumping KNOCK FOR ME.  KNOCK FOR ME and HOLLYWOOD HEARTS bumped on the turn into the home straight.  MR. SLY and WAZZA KING bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced.  KNOCK FOR ME shifted out entering the home straight forcing HOLLYWOOD HEARTS to race wide.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 331m

The start of this race was delayed 2.5 minutes due to overseas racing.

 

ULTIMATE STAR was best to begin.  BLUE LEXUS checked off the heels of WESTERN HONEY approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in BLUE LEXUS losing ground and checking SPY QUEEN, who fell as a result causing interference to BAZZA’S ISSUE who also fell.  BLUE LEXUS checked off the heels of ULTIMATE STAR and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  WILD ELITE raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  INDIANA RUMBLE raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound SPY QUEEN was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BAZZA’S ISSUE was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 331m

MR. WOODS was best to begin.  COSMIC REVENGE was slow to begin.  FAMECHON and MAGIC MOUSSE were tightened for racing room and lost ground prior to entering the back straight.  MAGIC MOUSSE and COSMIC REVENGE bumped in the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing some ground.  FAMECHON checked off the heels of HER STORY and lost ground prior to turning out of the back straight.  GOLD STEEL and LADY OLIVIA bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in LADY OLIVIA losing ground.  LAND LORD’S DIP raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  MAGIC MOUSSE raced wide on the turn into the home straight.  COSMIC REVENGE raced wide on the turn into the home straight.  COSMIC REVENGE and MAGIC MOUSSE raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 11 – Masters 395m

EL GRAND JUNIOR was best to begin.  CHERYL VALE was slow to begin.  MIDNIGHT OWL and NOT WORTH IT were marginally slow to begin.  EL GRAND JUNIOR, CANE D’ORO and DUNILLER bumped approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in DUNILLER losing ground and causing interference to BLUE DEN, who in turn caused interference to MIDNIGHT OWL.  NOT WORTH IT also suffered some inconvenience.  BLUE DEN checked off the heels of GENERATION IRON and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  Shortly after DUNILLER checked off the heels of GENERATION IRON and lost ground.  BLUE DEN and NOT WORTH IT bumped entering the back straight resulting in BLUE DEN becoming unbalanced.  DUNILLER checked across the heels of MIDNIGHT OWL and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  CANE D’ORO raced wide into the home straight.

 

The greyhound DUNILLER was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.
