Race Reports

 

Race 1 – SKY RACING | 5th MAIDEN | 395 M

 

ARFA SHOW OFF was slow to begin.

 

ARFA SHOW OFF underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed it to have injured its near side hip and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

 

Race 2 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD | NOVICE | 395 M

 

Shortly after the start LANARK BLUE and CICADA were tightened for racing room and lost ground. Entering the back straight LANARK BLUE was tightened for race room checked and lost ground. CICADA and UNIQUE LEIGH which were both trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight LADY OPAL was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight BURRUM BOY and NOAKI QUEEN collide resulting in BURRUM BOY being checked and lost ground. At the same time CICADA and UNIQUE LEIGH collide.

 

Race 3 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY | 4 /5 GRADE | 395 M

 

Shortly after start SLEEK STYLE, MISS AMELIA, RAPID EFFECT and RAMBLIN’ ROSE all raced tight. Approaching the turn into the back straight RAPID EFFECT was tightened for racing room and lost ground. QUEEN REEN and LET’S GO FABIO were both trialling and checked as a consequence. Approaching the turn into the front straight RAPID EFFECT improved onto the hind quarters of QUEEN REEN and was checked as a consequence. EBONY SANDS which was trialling was checked and lost ground.

 

RAPID EFFECT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 –WITHCOTT HOTEL | 5th GRADE | 600 M

 

Rounding the turn out of the front straight FLYAWAY BARB was tightened for racing room shifted out and collided with TYLER LEE resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

 

FLYAWAY BARB underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS | R/W GRADE | 600 M

 

Approaching the turn into the front straight in the first occasion EBONY MIST and CHELSEA bumped and resulting in CHELSEA shifting out and colliding with KENDALL, both Greyhounds lost ground as a consequence.  

 

 

Race 6 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND | 5th GRADE | 520 M

 

Through the first turn LAST DRINK, OHIO FERNANDO, KULU OZZIE and FELICI BEACH all received interference and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight FELICI BEACH improved onto the heels of LAST DRINK resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lost ground.

 

 

 

Race 7 –SKY RACING 5th Grade F | 5th GRADE | 520 M

 

BLUE JILLEM was slow to begin. Rounding the turn out of the front straight GYPSY WILD, OFF THE DECK and CATER STREET were all tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight OFF THE DECK was tightened for racing room and lost ground, rounding the turn out of the back straight CAPTAIN BLUE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight CAPTAIN BLUE and CRAZY EMJAY collide resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

 

Race 8 –FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE | 3 / 4 GRADE | 331 M

 

KULU SPARROW and POLLY’S MAID were slow to begin in the early stages of the race. Entering the back straight LOBCHA and ZULU BEAT were tightened for racing room and lost ground. Leaving the back straight REGAL TRAV was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Entering the front straight POLLY’S MAID checked across heels and lost ground.

 

LOBCHA underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed it to have injured it’s off hind webbing and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

Race 9 – BRISGREYS.COM | BT8 | 395 M

 

Through the first turn NEVER A DOUBT, SANDLER and REGAL WAZ were tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight BACK PLAY was tightened for racing room and lost ground.

 

Race 10 –ADOPT A GREYHOUND | 5th GRADE | 331 M

 

Rounding the turn into the front straight BRINDALE shifted out which hampered the running of PERONI BEACH.
