General:

Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races

Race 1 - GPP LASER 3300 MAIDEN (1) 331m

1 Smashniak Joker- Quick to begin. Eased, then collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Kadniak, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the turn out of the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1), Smashiniak Joker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Smashiniak Batman is suspended for a period of 28 days at Albion Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 69A(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

4 Mickey Two Rums- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr T Medcalf inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Mickey Two Rums come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

 

5 Cherokee Duck- Inconvenienced when racing through the turn into the home straight, contacted the heels of another runner and was checked wider on the track.  

 

6 Enjoy The Vision- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked.

 

8 Double Will- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked.

 

Race 2 - MPSANITIZE.COM.AU MAIDEN (2) 331m

1 Tiny Tony- Tightened for room approaching the turn out of the back straight and was inconvenienced

 

2 Just A Drop-  Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. Contacted the heels of another runner entering the home straight and was checked.   

 

3 Astonishing One- Tightened for room shortly after the start, checked and lost ground.  

 

4 Snuggle Pie- Tightened for room shortly after the start, checked and lost ground. Forced wider on the track to avoid interference entering the turn out of the back straight.

 

5 Got A Double- Shifted in immediately after the start in an attempt to get to the rail, collided with another runner and was checked. Contacted the heels of another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked wider on the track.

 

7 Model Girl- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked

 

Race 3 - ORSON ALLEN @ STUD NOVICE (1) 331m

1 Our Cambla Boy- Collided with another runner rounding the turn into the home straight and was checked. 

 

2 Bullaroo Flash- Collided with another runner rounding the turn into the home straight and was checked.  

 

3 Smashniak Jelly- Quick to begin.  

 

4 Last Drink- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked.  

 

7 Junior's Legacy- Slow to begin. Contacted the heels of another runner in the back straight and was checked.  

 

8 Eternal Flame- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked.

 

Race 4 - SENNACHIE @ STUD - STEVE WHITE NOVICE (2) 331m

2 Rock Like Jagger- Quick to begin.

 

3 Door Knob- Inconvenienced when entering the turn out of the back straight.  

 

7 King Harold- Contacted the heels of another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked. Collapsed in the catching pen and was unable to support itself. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed King Harold to be suffering from post-exercise distress syndrome and was stood down for a period of 7 days. Acting under the provisions of GAR74 (1)(a) stewards ordered King Harold trial to the satisfaction of stewards where it must also pass a pre and post-trial veterinary examination before any further nomination be excepted.  

 

8 Kooringa Zoe- Slow to begin. Contacted the heels of another runner entering the home straight and was checked wider on the track.

 

Race 5 - MOTORHUB THUNDER HEAT 1 OPEN 395m

3 Federal Morgan- Contacted the heels of another runner through the first turn and was checked.  

 

4 Key West- Contacted the heels of another runner in the home straight and as checked.  

 

7 Farmor On Fire- Quick to begin. Had its heel contacted entering the home straight.  

 

8 Hope's King- Quick to begin. Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

 

10 (Box 6) Champagne Reign- Slow to begin.

 

 

Race 6 - MOTORHUB THUNDER HEAT 2 OPEN 395m

1 Rebel Spike- Tightened for room through the first turn and inconvenienced.  

 

2 Magical Bill- Quick to begin.  

 

3 So Crazy- Contacted the heels of another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked.  

 

 

Race 7 - MOTORHUB THUNDER HEAT 3 OPEN 395m

1 Magical Hope- Quick to begin.

 

2 Canya Cruise- Quick to begin.

 

4 Farmor Watch You- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.

 

5 Lazareth- Slow to begin. Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked.  

 

7 Queen Supreme- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

8 Inquisitive Me- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked. 

 

9 (Box 6) Flying September- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. checked entering the bac straight and lost further ground. 

 

Race 8 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 331m

1 Paganini- Rose with the lids and Began awkwardly. Bumped with anther runner entering the turn out of the back straight, became unbalanced and forced wider on the track. Immediately after collided with another runner and lost further ground.

 

3 Machine Green- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight, checked and lost ground abruptly, trailing the field for the remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a strained offside pin muscle and was stood down for 21 days.

 

5 Honest Daze- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked.  

 

8 Tad Nosey- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

 

Race 9 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MIXED 3/4 331m

1 Maywyn's Zephyr- Slow to begin. Contacted the heels of another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.  

 

2 Farmor Carlton- Late scratching at 2.46pm due to injured near hind toe. Stood down 10 days + vet cert.  

 

3 Aerobic Tank- Quick to begin.  

 

4 Tipsy Four- Bumped with another runner in the back straight and was inconvenienced.

 

6 Farmor No Fear- Had its heels contacted approaching the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr Carleton inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Farmor No Fear come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

 

 

Race 10 - ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MA5 331m

1 Cyclone Penny- Quick to begin. Had it heels contacted entering he home straight.  

 

2 Sushi- Marginally slow to begin. Contacted the heels of another runner entering the home straight and was checked wider on the track. Was lame in the catching pen after the event and subsequently underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed torn ligaments and a suspected crack to the offside hock and was stood down for a period 42 days. Sushi was provided pain relief and the limb was splinted. Stewards will follow up in the coming days on Sushi’s condition.

Acting under the provisions of GAR20(3)(v) stewards ordered a Veterinary certificate for Sushi be produced before any future nominations be accepted.

Update 16/6/2020- Trainer Mrs K Raines reported to stewards that Sushi was humanly euthanized on 15th June after X-rays of the offside hock revealed extensive bone and tendon damage.

 

4 Skye Diva- Quick to begin.  

 

5 Hay Nanny- Had its heels contacted in the back straight and was checked.  

 

6 Peroni Beach- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was severely checked.  

 

7 You Go There-  Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was severely checked. 

 

8 Zipping Kiera- Contacted the heels of another runner in the back straight and was severely checked.

 

Race 11 - TAB GRADE 5 (1) 331m

1 Merida- Tightened for room entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Trainer or Merida, Mr C Druery told stewards that he was disappointed in the overall performance of Merida in tonight’s event however could not provide any reasonable explanation. 

Stewards requested Mr Druery inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Merida come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

 

2 Farmor Forex- Quick to begin.  

 

3 Kuranya- Bumped with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was forced wider on the track.  

 

5 Farmor Millers- Bumped with another runner entering the home straight.  

 

6 Titan It Up- Bumped with another runner entering the home straight.  

 

7 Wild Fantasy- Bumped with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and become momentarily unbalanced.  

 

10 (Box 4) Thunder Duck- Tightened for room shortly after the start and was checked.

 

Race 12 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (2) 331m

2 Sky's The Limit- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. 

 

4 Farmor Watch Her- Quick to begin. Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked.  

 

5 Double Slayer- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was severely checked. Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.  

 

10 (Box 7) Yeah Baby- Tightened between runners in the back straight and was checked.
