Race 1 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 2 520m

1. Cheers For Bella – Through the back turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

3. Aqua Man – Approaching the back turn was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

5. Kisses For Gran – Through the first turn marred the runner to its outside, near the finish marred the runner to its outside. Stewards spoke to trainer A McIntosh regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at both stages of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay, and hearing the trainers’ submissions, stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Kisses For Gran was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

8. Max Cash – Through the back turn marred the runner to its outside. A post race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer N Connell regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the  hearing trainers’ submissions, stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Max Cash was suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 2 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 2 520m

Race 3 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY NOVICE (1) 2 520m

7. Bye Bye Billy - Late scratching at 3:58 when trainer L Ashford reported the greyhound to have nearside hock injury GAR 76(2). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 76(5) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Race 4 - SENNACHIE @ STUD - STEVE WHITE NOVICE (2) 2 520m

1. Gone On Green – Approaching the first turn was tightened and checked, through the back turn was severely inconvenienced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

4. Callisto – Approaching the first turn was checked, through the back turn took its attention away from the lure inconveniencing another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin and was stood down from racing for 14 days. Stewards spoke to trainer T Zammit regarding the greyhounds racing actions through the back turn. After considering all available evidence, acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). The greyhound and must perform a Satisfactory Trial after the injury period has expired pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Race 5 - NEWHAVEN STUD FARM GRADE 5 1 710m

Race 6 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 2 520m

2. Panzer One – Approaching the first turn was tightened and checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 7 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 2 520m

3. Keep You Posted – Approaching the back turn commenced to weaken. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained a back muscle strain and was stood down from racing for 10 days

4. Hara’s Bruno – Approaching the first turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

7. Jayson Bull – Approaching the first turn was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
