Race 1 - LADBROKES MATES MODE POTS MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 395m |

1 Jack And You – Became unbalanced and gave ground entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side wrist injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 60 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

3 Mary Poppins – Eased and turned its head out towards another runner on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Drew Pearce regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 2nd offence – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
7 Brazen Bar Cool – Checked on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside foreleg laceration under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

8 Unit One – Gave ground in the back straight and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer Christopher Riordon advised the greyhound will now be retired. |
