Race Reports

 

Race 1 –CRYSTALGEM TROPHIES MAIDEN - 460m

 

Best away was STILTON ALI with JUST LIKE LOTTO slow to begin. Soon after the start ULTIMATE CHOICE and CAMBLA BANJO checked. Down the back straight STILTON ALI checked off heels of RING THE ALARM. Rounding the second turn RING THE ALARM checked with CRAZY CAMBLA. STILTON ALARM raced wide exiting and down the home straight.

 

JUST LIKE LOTTO underwent a post race veterinary examination, no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards spoke with connections of the greyhound RING THE ALARM regarding the greyhounds racing performance. The greyhound was charged with R69A Failing to pursue and will be required to complete a satisfactory stewards trial after a 28 day suspension before it is eligible to nominate.

 

Race 2 – TYRE SOLUTIONS NOVICE (1) - 460m

 

Best away was SOX THE FOX with NIKOLUCKY marginally slow. MIGHTY POWER raced wide through the first turn and remained wide throughout the remainder of the race.

 

MIGHTY POWER underwent a post race veterinary examination, finding the greyhound to have a strained neck muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

 

Race 3 – GREAT NORTHERN NOVICE (2) - 460m

 

Best to begin was WILD CONNECTION with DOTTIE’S IMAGE marginally slow. Entering the first turn RICHMER ASSASSIN checked with NANNY’S CHARLIE whom lost its footing and lost considerable ground. FIRE FLY JAKE was hampered as a result to the interference and lost ground also. MISS EMMY and RICHMER ASSASSIN raced wide down the home straight.

 

NANNY’S CHARLIE underwent a post race veterinary examination, no apparent injuries found.

 

Race 4 – UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS MA5 - 460m

 

DODGY CREDIT was best away. Entering the first turn DOTTIE’S IMAGE, SMOOTH JAKE and SHE’S INYA FACE were tight for racing room and checked.

 

Race 5 – REALWAY PROPERTY CONSULTANTS GRADE 5 - 460m

 

ZABDON VEYRON was marginally slow to begin with the remainder of the field even. KATHERINES MONEY and SANDSHOE checked, as a result MADAM CAMBLA and CAMBLA FLASH were forced wide and lost ground. SANDSHOE was tight for racing room entering the second turn and faltered.

 

Race 6 – TERRY SIGN'S MIXED 4/5 - 460m

 

TINKIE’S MY MUM was best away with BRANDY CAMBLA marginally slow. ALLEGRO DOTTIE and GO THE SPOILS checked entering the first turn causing interference to BRANDY CAMBLA and BRUSKEY who both lost ground.

 

Race 7 – SUNFUM 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 - 460m

 

Best away was FASHION FLIRT. Approaching the first turn LAGOON SCARLET, GALLON OF CAMBLA, KISS THE GROOM and WHINGING WILKO were tight for racing room and checked to varying degrees. GALLON OF CAMBLA was forced wide and continued wide for the remainder of the race.

 

Race 8 – PRIME REAL ESTATE BEST 8 - 460m

 

Best away was CAMBLA LALA with HYPNOTISE EYES marginally slow. LORDE CERINE and HYPNOTISE EYES were wide through the first turn. Exiting the second turn and down the home straight HYPNOTISE EYES raced wide.
