General: Stewards did an early morning track walk following severe thunderstorms overnight and ordered that the fence panels & foam padding blown down be repaired before racing could commence, there were also issues with the DVN network and no stewards replay was available in the stewards room. Both issues were raised with the club for repair before next meeting.

Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN 460m

 

3 Winterfells Diva – Checked shortly after the start.

 

4 Federal Ruby – Slow to begin. Checked approaching the turn off the front straight.

 

5 Our Satin Rose – Checked approaching the turn off the front straight. Began to shorten stride approaching the exit onto the front straight before pulling up in the front straight. A veterinary examination revealed an offside hock fracture and was stood down from racing for 42 days. The greyhound was given pain relief and taken to an independent veterinary clinic for further treatment. This will be referred to the injury review panel.

 

7 White Bull – Checked shortly after the start. Checked and disadvantaged entering the turn off the front straight.

 

 

Race 2 - ACE FABRICATIONS NOVICE 460m

 

1 Chase Me Candy – Tightened for racing room and checked Approaching the turn off the back straight.

 

2 Sienna Sunrise – Checked entering the turn off the front straight.

 

3 Weaver's Cut – Tightened for racing room and checked Approaching the turn off the back straight.

 

4 Major Look – Tightened for racing room and checked Approaching the turn off the back straight.

 

5 Ferocious Shadow – Slow to begin. Checked entering the turn off the front straight. Tightened for racing room and checked Approaching the turn off the back straight.

 

6 Double Espresso – Slow to begin. Checked entering the turn off the front straight. Tightened for racing room and checked Approaching the turn off the back straight.

 

7 Fluro Man – Checked entering the turn off the front straight.

 

 

Race 3 - EAST END HOTEL GRADE 5 (1) 460m

 

1 Winlock Bluey – Disadvantaged by another runner approaching the exit onto the front straight.

 

3 Hyper Haze – Checked, lost its footing, and almost fell approaching the exit onto the front straight.

 

6 Yosemite Sam – Checked approaching the exit onto the front straight.

 

8 Cyclone Rufus – Leapt and hit head on the boxes at the jump. Slow to begin. Shortened stride and lost ground visibly injured entering the turn off the front straight. A veterinary examination revealed thigh and back muscle strains and stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

 

Race 4 - BARGARA BAKERY MIXED 4/5 460m

 

2 Stand By Me – Shifted wider exiting the turn onto the front straight.

 

3 Running Express – Checked approaching the turn off the front straight.

 

4 Ringbark Rage – Checked approaching the turn off the front straight.

 

6 Guy Incognito – Checked shortly after the start.

 

7 Mumma's Machine – Checked shortly after the start. Checked entering the turn off the front straight.

 

8 Go Emmy Go– Checked entering the turn off the front straight.

 

 

Race 5 - ENDEAVOUR FOUNDATION FFA 460m

 

2 Summer's Flyer – Shifted wider in the front straight.

 

3 Kotiro Koura – Tightened for racing room approaching the turn off the front straight.

 

4 Roulette – Tightened for racing room approaching the turn off the front straight.

 

 

Race 6 - TERRY SIGNS MIXED 4/5 550m

 

1 Rowdy Roddy – Checked approaching the exit onto the back straight.

 

3 Perfect Freeze – Tightened for racing room and disadvantaged shortly after the start. Shifted wider entering the turn off the front straight.

 

4 Capture Bart – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start. Checked approaching the turn off the front straight. Shifted wider entering the turn off the front straight. Tightened for racing room in the front straight.

 

5 Keen – Checked approaching the turn off the front straight. Checked across the heels of another runner & disadvantaged approaching the turn off the back straight.

 

7 Pokie Payout – Tightened for racing room in the front straight on the first occasion.

 

8 Viva Belle – Checked in the back straight.

 

 

Race 7 - BUNDABERG WILDCARD HEAT 1 OPEN 550m

 

1 Off Break – Slow to begin.

 

2 Little Ripper – Checked shortly after the start.

 

3 Unencumbered – shifted wider and checked losing ground entering the turn off the front straight. A veterinary examination found nearside shoulder bruising and stood down for 5 days.

 

6 Fluro Girl – Shifted wider entering the turn off the front straight.

 

 

Race 8 - BUNDABERG WILDCARD HEAT 2 OPEN 550m

 

2 Barcia Bullet – Tightened for racing room entering the turn off the back straight.

 

5 Three Sore Feet – Immediately after the boxes opened jumped off the ground awkwardly and was slow to begin.

 

7 Cambla Doll – Tightened for racing room entering the turn off the back straight.

 

 

Race 9 - UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS GRADE 5 (2) 460m

 

1 Cold Deck – Bumped shortly after the start. Checked entering the turn off the front straight.

 

2 Beers With Geoff – Bumped shortly after the start.

 

3 Pink Flyer – Slow to begin.

 

4 Not Allowed – Slow to begin. Checked entering the turn off the front straight. Checked onto the hind quarters of another runner and disadvantaged in the front straight. A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

 

7 Cambla Gem – Checked and dragged down by another runner in the front straight. A veterinary examination found offside and nearside shoulder bruising and stood down for 5 days.

 

Race 10 - SKY RACING MA5 460m

 

2 Spring Curly – Tightened for racing room bumped and disadvantaged shortly after the start.

 

3 My Dark Lorian – Tightened for racing room and bumped shortly after the start.

 

4 Hombre Duck – Tightened for racing room and bumped shortly after the start. Checked across the heels in the back straight and lost ground. A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

 

6 All Aces – Tightened for racing room and bumped shortly after the start.

 

7 Kiss And Cut – Tightened for racing room and bumped shortly after the start. Checked entering the turn off the front straight.

 

8 Jacobus – Checked entering the turn off the front straight lost footing and began to give significant ground. A veterinary examination found a suspected offside hock fracture and stood down for 42 days. The greyhound was stabilised and given pain relief and taken to an independent veterinary clinic for further treatment. This will be referred to the injury review panel.
