General: Trainer Mr Craig Emery reported to stewards on the outcome of the greyhound Tough As Steel which was injured in race 5 at Bundaberg on the 2/05/2022,  after taking the greyhound to his own vet on the Tuesday X rays revealed an offside Avulsion fracture and was set in a cast and is recovering well.

Race 1 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 460m

 

2 Fernando Model – Slow to begin.  Checked across the heels of another runner and lost ground rounding the turn off the front straight.  A veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist and back muscle strain and stood down for 21 days.

 

3 Craig's Cruisin' – Checked and knocked off balance shortly after the start.  Checked and lost footing Approaching the turn off the back straight.  Gave ground rounding the turn off the back straight.  A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

 

4 Soft Steel – Checked shortly after the start.  Checked on the heels rounding the turn off the front straight.

 

5 Vexing Victor – Checked and disadvantaged shortly after the start. 

 

6 Penny And Clyde – Slow to begin.

 

7 Miss Sassy Girl – Checked Approaching the turn off the back straight.

 

 

Race 2 - EAST END HOTEL NOVICE 460m

 

1 Weaver's Cut – Checked exiting the turn onto the back straight.

 

2 Wilby Royalty – Tightened for racing room approaching the turn off the front straight.  Checked exiting the turn onto the back straight.

 

3 Militant Cloud – Slow to begin.  Shifted wider in the front straight.

 

5 Double Espresso – Tightened for racing room approaching the turn off the front straight.

 

6 Apache Bear – Shifted wider in the front straight.

 

7 Fluro Man – Disadvantaged entering the turn off the front straight.

 

8 Why Whisper – Checked across the heels of another runner and disadvantaged approaching the turn off the back straight.  Gave ground rounding the turn off the back straight.  A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

 

 

Race 3 - BARGARA BAKERY GRADE 5 (1) 460m

 

2 Sassy Elle – Slow to begin.  Tightened for racing room rounding the turn off the back straight.

 

3 Spitfire Speed – Bumped shortly after the start.  Tightened for racing room rounding the turn off the back straight.

 

4 High Priority – Bumped shortly after the start.  Checked approaching the turn off the front straight.  Checked exiting the turn onto the front straight.

 

5 Not Alone – Bumped shortly after the start.  Checked exiting the turn onto the front straight.

 

7 Double Steel – Checked approaching the turn off the front straight.

 

 

Race 4 - TAB ANNIVERSARY SPRINT FINAL OPEN 460m

 

6 Wildash Trapper – Bumped rounding the turn off the front straight and exiting the turn onto the back straight.  Shifted wider in the back straight.

 

8 Easy Eddie – Slow to begin.  Bumped rounding the turn off the front straight and exiting the turn onto the back straight.  Forced wider in the back straight.

 

 

Race 5 - UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS GRADE 5 (2) 460m

 

1 Not Allowed – Slow to begin.

 

2 Tiffany Twisted – Checked immediately after the start.

 

3 Hotshot Bear – Checked immediately after the start.

 

4 Lady Swiss – Checked shortly after the start.

 

5 Louder – Checked shortly after the start.

 

6 Mad Morgan – Checked rounding the turn off the front straight.  Shortened stride and began to lose considerable ground in the back straight.  A veterinary examination revealed neck and hip muscle strains and stood down for 14 days.

 

 

Race 6 - TERRY SIGNS GRADE 5 (3) 460m

 

1 Compton Tess – Tightened for racing room and bumped other runners to varying degrees entering the turn off the front straight.  Checked rounding the turn off the front straight.

 

2 Mister Key – Tightened for racing room and bumped other runners to varying degrees entering the turn off the front straight.

 

3 Winlock Bluey – Tightened for racing room and bumped other runners to varying degrees entering the turn off the front straight.

 

4 Suite Nita – Checked entering the turn off the front straight.  Shifted wider in the front straight.

 

6 Midnight Cambla – Checked approaching the turn off the front straight.   Tightened for racing room and bumped other runners to varying degrees entering the turn off the front straight.  Checked and disadvantaged rounding the turn off the front straight.  A veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist and a neck strain and stood down for 7 days

 

8 Question Asked – Checked approaching the turn off the front straight.

 

 

Race 7 - ENDEAVOUR FOUNDATION MIXED 4/5 460m

 

2 Rebel Return – Checked approaching the turn off the front straight.

 

3 Koolboo Supreme – Checked shortly after the start.

 

 

Race 8 - TAB ANNIVERSARY CUP FINAL OPEN 550m

 

2 Little Ripper – Checked and disadvantaged entering the turn off the back straight.  A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

 

3 Lucky Lance – Checked entering the turn off the back straight.

 

 

Race 9 - SKY RACING MA5 460m

 

3 Benissimo – Tightened for racing room entering the turn off the front straight.

 

6 My Bro Beach – Forced wider exiting the turn onto the front straight.  Shifted in towards running rail and was tightened for racing room and bumped in the front straight.

 

7 He's A Minstrel – Tightened for racing room entering the turn off the front straight.

 

8 Ragin' Comet – Slow to begin.  Shifted wider and checked another runner exiting the turn onto the front straight.
