General:

· Stewards concluded an inquiry into the discovery of an item discovered near a vehicle & trailer in the carpark  following kennelling in November 2023. Following an investigation and swabbing of several greyhounds.

· Following several months training stewards observed trainee starter J.Jansen perform the role for the race meeting and deemed she was proficient in the role and cleared her for accreditation.

Race 1 - RACE REVOLUTION MAIDEN 315m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 2 – ISFAB MAIDEN 460m

2. Paris Can Wait – Checked and forced wider on the first turn.

3. Gardell – Checked and lost footing exiting the turn onto the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 3 - SKY RACING NOVICE 460m

4. Short And Blonde – Checked and knocked off balance immediately after the jump.

Race 4 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MIXED 4/5 315m

6. Systems Down – Checked entering the first turn. Shifted wider and faulted in its actions on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist sprain, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

8. Taming Strange – Following an incident in the catching pen A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside foot injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 60 days and must complete a satisfactory stewards trial prior to racing next.

Race 5 - GLOBAL TURF GRADE 5 (1) 460m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 6 - CRAFT RENTALS GRADE 5 (2) 460m

6. My Dream Girl – Checked approaching the first turn. Tightened for racing room and disadvantaged entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a back muscle injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory stewards trial prior to racing next.

Race 7 - UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS MIXED 4/5 460m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 8 - COUNTRY CUP SEMI-FINAL OPEN 531m

3. Miss Slimm – Checked entering the first turn. At the trainers request A post-race veterinary examination revealed a back muscle injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory stewards trial prior to racing next.

4. Different Drum – Checked shortly after the start. at the trainers request. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside toe injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory stewards trial prior to racing next.

6. Case Dismissed – Checked and shifted wider entering the first turn. Gave ground before pulling up before the finish line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside fore spike wound, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

9. Just Like Mick – Checked approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside front spike wound, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Race 9 - WALKER ST WHOLESALE BAKERY GRADE 5 (1) 315m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 10 - MUNN'S PLUMBING GRADE 5 (2) 315m

3.Fabio’s Ethics – Faulted in its actions and gave ground approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside and offside shoulder muscle strains, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Race 11 - EAST END HOTEL GRADE 5 (3) 315m

 2.Sleepy Joe – Checked and gave ground approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside hamstring  & back muscle injuries, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.
