·       Trainer W Warner was remined of his obligations regarding the dress code requirements.

 

 

Race 1 - ACCESSIBILITY SUPPORT SERVICES MAIDEN 460m

 

Gunyah Mate – Checked around the first turn and then faltered in its action and trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness to the left and right hip supports and soreness in the left and right pin muscles. A 14 day stand down was issued.

 

Race 2 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE 460m

 

Yogi’s Menace – Checked racing into the first turn. Checked off heels approaching the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed split webbing to both hind pads and a 5 day stand down was issued.

 

De Vantier – (Beaten favourite 7th) Commenced to lose ground racing off the back straight. Checked rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness to the near side pin muscle and a 14 day stand down was issued.

 

Race 3 - UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS GRADE 5 (1) 460m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 4 - RACE REVOLUTION GRADE 5 (2) 460m

 

Tikarni – (Beaten favourite 7th) – Slow to begin. Checked around the first turn. Checked racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 5 - CARVE INDUSTRIES GRADE 5 (3) 460m

 

Cool Bananas – (Beaten favourite 3rd) Checked and lost considerable ground around the first turn before finishing off strongly.

 

Mitch Moses – Late scratching at kennelling due to a pin muscle injury. Stood down 14 days.

 

Race 6 - TERRY SIGNS MIXED 4/5 460m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 7 - RACING QUEENSLAND BUNDABERG CUP (G2) CONSOLATION OPEN 531m

 

·       No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 8 - RACING QUEENSLAND BUNDABERG CUP (G2) FINAL OPEN 531m

 

Pebble’s Girl – Checked around the first turn. Severely checked racing into the back straight and trailed the field thereafter. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a suspected offside metacarpal injury and a 45 day stand down was issued and will need to perform a veterinary clearance trial before returning to racing. This will be reported to the racing injury review panel.

 

Race 9 - 4BU MIXED 3/4 315m

 

Heidi Hook – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Struck the running rail racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the left shoulder and a 5 day stand down was issued.

 

Race 10 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MIXED 4/5 315m

 

Buster Up – Checked in the back straight. Checked racing off racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lumbar soreness and a 5 day stand down was issued.

 

Race 11 - ENDEAVOUR FOUNDATION GRADE 5 (1) 315m

 

·       The start of this race was delayed due to the lure cover not being removed from the lure. All greyhounds were removed from the boxes and were cleared to race after a veterinary examination. Catching pen attendant L Stoker was reminded of the requirement to always ensure that he is fully cognisant of his duties, including the removal of the lure cover.

 

Thai Warrior – Checked around the first turn. Appeared to falter in its action rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist sprain as well as triceps & deltoid muscle strains and a 7 day stand down was issued.

 

 

Race 12 - WALKER STREET WHOLESALE BAKERY GRADE 5 (2) 315m

 

Rapid Popeye – Slow to begin. Checked on two occasions racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside triceps and deltoid muscle strains and a 7 day stand down was issued.
