Race 1 – JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN – 366M

 

Even start.  Shortly after the start, CATER STREET and OUTBACK ILLUSION bumped.  At the 200m, NOIRE DREAM shifted out.  Approaching the finishing line, WILL BUT WIN eased.

 

The greyhound DYAN ALITA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Connection to the greyhound, WILL BUT WIN, was advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69(a) Failing to pursue 1st offence, with the greyhound to be stood down for a period of 28 days, and would be required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 366, prior to racing.

 

Race 2 – SWAN PLUMBING SUPPLIES CAPALABA NOVICE – 366M

 

No Race – Due to the starting box malfunctioning, the field was released prematurely.  Stewards’ subsequently declared the event a “No Race”.

 

Race 3 –MELB CUP @ CAP GREYS 5TH GRADE (1) – 366M

 

EL ROMANO was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, EL ROMANO, KEMBLA DE KAHN and FI FI RUMBLE collided.  Approaching the 200m, JERRY’S BOY shifted in.  Approaching the finishing line SET ‘EM APART and JERRY’S BOY collided.

 

The greyhound SET ‘EM APART underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off fore leg, and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 4 – KEYBOW @ STUD 5TH GRADE (2) – 366M

 

Even start.  Shortly after the start, VALKYRIE NIGHT and SLICK SHANNON collided.  Approaching the 200m, VALKYRIE NIGHT shifted out.  At the 200m, CLASSY CASSIE and TOOK A FERGUS bumped.  At the 100m, TEN TO DREAM and HAZE PURPLE collided.  Approaching the finishing line, THANKING PETER, SLICK SHANNON, TOOK A FERGUS and CLASSY CASSIE raced tight.

 

Race 5 – ZINZAN BROOKE @ STUD MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 366M

 

Even start.  Shortly after the start, MUSTANG NOVA and CAWBOURNE BIG RED bumped.  Approaching the 200m, NIKKI NETTLE and MUSTANG NOVA shifted out.  After the 200m, REDNECK BANJO and NOTORIOUS HERO shifted in. 

 

 

 

 

Race 6 – COOLANGATTA PUNTING CLUB 0-4 WINS FINAL – 366M

 

Even start.  Shortly after the start, TOOK A TRIP shifted in checking SPUR IT ON, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the 200m, TOOK A SELFIE and TOOKA TRIP collided.  Leaving the 200m, TOOKA TRIP and ONE EL shifted in. 

 

Race 7 – GOOD LUCK NIGEL RUGG CAPALABA CUP OPEN CONSOLATION – 366M

 

Even start.   Approaching the 200m, NAUGHTY MAX shifted out.

 

The greyhound TOO MANY BILLS underwent a post -ace veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – CORNERSTONE CAPALABA CUP OPEN FINAL – 366M

 

Even start.  Shortly after the start, IT’S DYLLAN shifted in checking ALPH LUCKY.  Approaching the 200m, ALPHA LUCKY shifted out colliding with ZIPPING MACK, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. 

 

Race 9 – SHANE MURPHY PAINTING CONTRACTORS MA5 – 366M

 

Even start.  Approaching the 200m, SAY GOOD DAY shifted out, checking IMA PACEMAN, at the same time ELOISE shifted in.  At the 100m, GIFTED PINS shifted out.
