General: Handler William Warner and Trainer Allan Oshyer were both reminded of their obligations regarding the Racing Queensland dress code.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 1 - DON & DENISE MAIDEN 366m

 

 

 

1 Black Patch – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Shifted out approaching the 300m.

 

 

 

2 Cyclone Molly – Slow to begin. Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

 

3 Unlimited Beauty – Shifted in and bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

 

6 Suzie Knows – Slow to begin. Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

 

7 Looks Easy – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Commenced to weaken at the 200m when appeared to have sustained an injury, taking no further competitive part in the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the nearside hock and was stood down from racing for 90 days. The greyhound must trial prior to racing next. The on-course veterinarian administered pain relief and bandaged Looks Easy. Trainer Susan Harris will take the greyhound to Stafford Heights Veterinary Clinic this afternoon for further assessment and treatment. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Injury Review Panel.

1 Blazing Arizona – Shifted in and bumped with another runner several times approaching the 300m.

 

 

 

2 Alpha Tiara – Bumped by another runner several times approaching the 300m. Shifted out approaching the 200m.

 

 

 

3 Federal Ruby – Slow to begin. Bumped with another runner at the 300m and became momentarily unbalanced.

 

 

 

4 Airborne Prince – Bumped with another runner at the 300m and became momentarily unbalanced.

 

 

 

7 Shian Nessa – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

 

8 Major Look – Shifted in and bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

3 Tuta Mimosa – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked losing ground.

 

 

 

4 Seldom Quits – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked losing ground.

 

 

 

5 I'm All Heart – Checked off the heels of another runner at the 200m.

 

 

 

6 Ruby's Me Mum – Bumped heavily by another runner at the 100m and became momentarily unbalanced.

 

 

 

8 It's Cleo – Shifted in leaving the 100m and bumped heavily with another runner becoming momentarily unbalanced.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 10 - LEEROY ROGUE GRADE 5 (2) 366m

 

 

 

1 Unlimited Blitz – Bumped with another runner several times from the 200m to the 100m.

 

 

 

2 Devil Miss – Shifted out leaving the 200m.

 

 

 

3 Boondi Sticks – Commenced to weaken shortly after the start when appeared to have sustained an injury. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down from racing for 28 days. Trainer Cliff Houston was advised that the greyhound must complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing next.

 

 

 

4 Meg Bee – Bumped with another runner several times from the 200m to the 100m.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 11 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY 5PW 366m

 

 

 

1 Glenreagh Spud – Checked off the heels of another runner at the 100m.

 

 

 

2 Rondinella – Shifted out and bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

 

3 Not Right – Slow to begin.

 

 

 

5 Tuta Stripes – Tightened for racing room approaching the 200m and was checked.

 

 

 

6 What An Outcome – Slow to begin. Commenced to weaken at the 200m when appeared to have sustained an injury. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed back strain and was stood down from racing for 10 days.
