Stewards spoke to trainer Michael Vaughen in relation to retrieving his greyhound Hole In One late from the kennels for race 6.  After considering all evidence stewards formally reprimanded Mr Vaughen under the provisions of GAR 97.

Race 1 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN 366m

Race 2 - WYNNUM HAULAGE MAIDEN 366m

1 Haggler – Beaten favourite.  Shifted out abruptly colliding with another runner and fell approaching the 200m mark.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 3 - AMJ ENGINEERING & FABRICATION NOVICE 366

3 Cosmic Sards – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offhind limb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

4 Black Commanche – Beaten favourite.  Checked approaching the 250m mark, checked approaching the 200m mark.

6 Then came you – Gave ground at the 200m mark and trailed the field for the remainder of the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the back and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Race 9 - RACE REVOLUTION TIMING SYSTEMS GRADE 5 (2) 366m

Race 10 - SENTENCED AT STUD GRADE 5 (1) 366m

1 Precious Layla – Collided with another runner in the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

Race 11 - ANNUAL PEST MANAGEMENT GRADE 5 (2) 366m

8 Down Size – Beaten favourite.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

6 Colden Mina – Beaten favourite.  Began awkwardly, a post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.
