4 Making Memories – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside toe. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 21 days.
5 Lady Veronica – Approaching the 100m mark appeared awkward in its action and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury. Stewards spoke to trainer representative D Hancock regarding the greyhound’s performance. After considering all available evidence stewards invoked GAR129 – Unsatisfactory performance. The greyhound must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.
6 Mrs. Eshay – Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainer K Myers that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.
