2 Smash Of Gold – Took an awkward stride and commenced to give ground approaching the 100m mark. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.
8 Aston Tolhurst – Went up with the lids. Turned its head to the outside runner on several occasions approaching the 100m mark. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer T.Lindsay regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Failing to pursue – 28 days stand down at Capalaba and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
