3 Jimary Storm – Turned its head inwards shortly after box rise contacting another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside shoulder and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Malcolm Ross regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the start of the race. After reviewing the video footage and hearing Mr Ross’ submissions, Stewards invoked GAR125 Failing to Pursue by reason of injury and stood down Jimary Storm for 10 days at Capalaba plus the completion of a satisfactory trial. |
