The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

GENERAL

 

The greyhound COSMIC SPLIT performed a satisfactory 6 months trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 24.99.

 

Race 1 – Maiden 431m

The boxes opened prematurely prior to the lure being in position resulting in all greyhounds completing a circuit of the track with no lure.  Subsequently the stewards declared the race a ‘No Race’.

 

Race 2 – Maiden 431m

ROSDUE BLUE GUM was best to begin.  ROSDUE GOANNA was slow to begin.  ROSDUE JITTERBUG and SHE MAYWYN bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in SHE MAYWYN losing ground.  ROSDUE JITTERBUG checked off the heels of MAYWYN SENOR and lost some ground entering the back straight.  ROSDUE GOANNA checked off the heels of SHE MAYWYN and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ROSDUE GOANNA and ROSDUE BLUE GUM bumped entering the home straight.  ROSDUE GOANNA and ROSDUE BLUE GUM raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 3 – Novice 431m

GUMTREE KID was best to begin.  GOTTA GET UP and MAJOR GENERAL bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.  SHAYLOR SAM and MAJOR GENERAL bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.  CHEEKY CHEECH raced wide in the back straight.  MAJOR GENERAL checked across the heels of SHAYLOR SAM on the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 4 – 4/5th Grade Heat 1 431m

TEMNICK and CRAZY VIXON were best to begin.  KAR BLU and SOCIAL DANCER were slow to begin.  SOCIAL DANCER checked off the heels of FARMOR MAYHEM and lost some ground shortly after the start.  FARMOR MAYHEM shifted in approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in KAR BLU checking across its heels.  TEMNICK checked off the heels of CRAZY VIXON and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to EYES ON ME who in turn caused interference to MAGICAL GIRL.  KAR BLU checked off the heels of MAGICAL GIRL and lost some ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in some inconvenience to SOCIAL DANCER.  MAGICAL GIRL and KAR BLU raced wide in the back straight.  TEMNICK checked of the heels of EYES ON ME and lost some ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  EYES ON ME checked off the heels of IPSWICH MELODY on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  MAGICAL GIRL and IPSWICH MELODY bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in IPSWICH MELODY becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

 

Race 5 – 4/5th Grade Heat 2 431m

OUR MAGIC BOY and TWO BEERS were best to begin.  JASMINE HOLLY was slow to begin.  CUPPA TEA KIWI and PURELY PENNY bumped on the 1st turn after the start.  CUPPA TEA KIWI checked off the heels of GET INVOLVED and lost some ground approaching the turn into the back straight.

 

Race 6 – 4/5th Grade Heat 3 431m

The greyhound GATE SLINGER was vetted pre race and no apparent injuries were found and passed fit to race.

 

FARMOR EYE AM was best to begin. BIG RED DEVIL and TINY TURBO were marginally slow to begin.  RAMBO ROCK crossed from a wide position approaching the turn after the start resulting in tightening to BIG RED DEVIL in onto PROTO PENNY, onto READY TO RULE, resulting in these 3 greyhounds losing ground.  RAMBO ROCK ands READY TO RULE bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in RAMBO ROCK becoming unbalanced and shifting out contacting MAGIC IT UP which lost ground.  BIG RED DEVIL checked off the heels of RAMBO ROCK and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. MAGIC IT UP and TINY TURBO bumped on the turn into the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.  PROTO PENNY checked off the heels of READY TO RULE and lost considerable ground entering the back straight resulting in interference to BIG RED DEVIL and RAMBO ROCK.  TINY TURBO and BIG RED DEVIL raced wide in the back straight.  PROTO PENNY raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound BIG RED DEVIL was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 7 – 4/5th Grade 520m

Even start.  WHITE MARLIN, DEEP DESPAIR and BOOM WARRIOR raced wide approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  DEEP DESPAIR and MAURITIAN MAYHEM bumped on the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  GATE SLINGER raced wide on the turn out of the front straight.  DEEP DESPAIR and MAURITIAN MAYHEM bumped on several occasions on the turn into the back straight resulting in MAURITIAN MAYHEM being checked and losing ground prior to entering the back straight, causing some inconvenience to GATE SLINGER.  SPRING SHANGHAI checked off the heels of SPRING IT ON and lost some ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SPRING IT ON checked off the heels of WHITE MARLIN and lost ground approaching the turn into the front straight.  DEEP DESPAIR and SPRING IT ON bumped heavily on the turn into the home straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

 

The greyhound MAURITIAN MAYHEM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – 5th Grade Final 431m

EMKAY BENZ was best to begin.  SCAR’S BROTHER checked off the heels of SPRING RAYMOND and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight. INNER WISDOM checked off the heels of EMKAY BENZ and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  PREMIER BEAR raced wide into the back straight.  SCAR’S BROTHER and SPRING DODGER raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound PREMIER BEAR was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the stomach and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

 

Race 9 – 4/5th Grade Heat 4 431m

FLASH REALITY was best to begin.  PACIFIC CHAMP checked off the heels of PREMIER JET and lost ground on the 1st turn after the start.  NINJA LLOYDIE also suffered interference.  PREMIER JET and FLASH REALITY bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in FLASH REALITY losing some ground.  PACIFIC CHAMP raced wide in the back straight.  PACIFIC CHAMP raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound FLASH REALITY was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 10 – 4/5th Grade Heat 5 431m

TRANSMEDIA was best to begin.  MAGIC FLY HIGH and COOL CREDIT bumped shortly after the start.  SMASH TO FEAR crossed from a wide position approaching the turn after the start bumping LEGACY CHIEF in onto SPEICAL VIRTUE, resulting in LEGACY CHIEF losing considerable ground.  TRANSMEDIA lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  SPECIAL VIRTUE checked off the heels of LIL’ BIT SPARKY entering the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

 

The greyhound TRANSMEDIA was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. M Boody that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.
