The following greyhounds were sent to the veterinary surgeon upon completion of their event, but were not found to be suffering any injury.

Race 1 – Maiden 520m

GAGAN LASSOO was best to begin with MADE TO RAINE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight RUN LIKE JARROD and GAGAN LASSOO raced tight and bumped.  On the turn out of the home straight MADE TO RAINE checked off the heels of MY NAME’S JEFF causing MADE TO RAINE to check SPRING BLONDE causing MADE TO RAINE to race wide.  Entering the back straight ROCKET’S ANGEL checked off the heels of RUN LIKE JARROD, causing RUN LIKE JARROD to drop back sharply.  In the back straight SPRING BLONDE was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight MADE TO RAINE turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with SPRING BLONDE causing these 2 greyhounds to take no further part in the event.

 

The greyhound RUN LIKE JARROD was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Stewards advised trainer Ms. A O’Reilly that the greyhound MADE TO RAINE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

 

Race 2 – Maiden Final 520m

PARTY VILLAGE was best to begin with ALL IN SHIRAZ slowly away.  Soon after the start MCCAW MCCAW shifted out checking AEROPLANE LOU.  Entering the turn out of the home straight MCCAW MCCAW and AEROPLANE LOU colliding forcing AEROPLANE LOU wide on the turn.  In the back straight ROCK THE VILLAGE was wide.  On the turn out of the back straight ROCK THE VILLAGE and ALL IN SHIRAZ were racing tight and bumping.  In the home straight ROCK THE VILLAGE was very wide.

 

Race 3 – Novice 520m

COUTA GODDESS was best to begin with DON’T KNOCKA TOM slowly away.  Soon after the start DON’T KNOCKA TOM and BY GOLLY MOLLY were wide.  Entering the turn out of the home straight RED RIVER ROSE checked off the heels of GIFTED ANGEL causing RED RIVER ROSE to drop back sharply checking DON’T KNOCKA TOM, forcing that greyhound wide on the turn.  In the back straight RED RIVER ROSE was wide.  In the home straight RED RIVER ROSE and BY GOLLY MOLLY were wide.

 

The greyhound DON’T KNOCKA TOM was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. T Purtil that greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks prior to nominating.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 520m

LUKAKU and MURBAH GOLD were best to begin with TREBLIG BRAD slowly away.  Soon after the start TREBLIG BRAD crossed to the outside.  Entering the turn out of the home straight ALOTA AMY and LUKAKU collided.  On the turn out of the home straight DOWN THEY CAME checked off the heels of MAYWYN’S YING causing DOWN THEY CAME to check GOOD GIRL JANICE     and GARRANGAY DUK.  Entering the back straight GARRANGAY DUK and TREBLIG BRAD raced tight and bumped with TREBLIG BRAD taking no further competitive part in the event.  Entering the home straight ALOTA AMY was wide.

 

The greyhound DON’T KNOCKA TOM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 14 days.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. G Gilbert that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory

stewards’ trial 520m all tracks prior to nominating.

 

Race 5 – 4/5th Grade 431m

ITALIAN MAGIC and MAGIC GALO were best to begin with KILTY JACK slowly away.  Entering the back straight SNOWBALL BOB checked off the heels of MAGIC GALO.  In the back straight DON’T DOUBLE UP was wide.  In the home straight KILTY JACK was wide.

 

Race 6 – RQ Young Guns Heat 1 520m

BOOTY BEACH and RICH ‘N’ WILD were best to begin with JIMMY BRUTE and TIBETAN DREAM slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight JIMMY BRUTE and YAMANTO collided causing YAMANTO to check KING SIZED, causing YAMANTO to shift out checking HENRY JUDGE.  On the turn JIMMY BRUTE was wide.  On the turn out of the back straight YAMANTO checked off the heels of HENRY JUDGE.  In the home straight BOOTY BEACH and SHOW BOUND were wide.

 

Race 7 – RQ Young Guns Heat 2 520m

Even start.  Soon after the start SMART SPIRIT, AUBERON and SNOWBALL BAZZA all collided.  Approaching the winning post on the 1st occasion AUBERON checked off the heels of SMART SPIRIT.  On the turn into the back straight DOOGAL was wide.  In the back straight SNOWBALL BAZZA checked off the heels of SPLIT SYSTEM.  Entering the home straight FABULOUS CYNDIE and SMART SPIRIT collided.  In the home straight SMART SPIRIT was wide.

 

The greyhound AUBERON was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the near hind and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 8 – 4/5th Grade 520m

SIVAMET was best to begin with DAYSEAS RIGG and PARCHMENT slowly away.  Soon after the start NOT LIKE TOMMY and SUNNYSIDE JAY collided.  Entering the turn out of the home straight PARCHMENT checked off the heels of NOT LIKE TOMMY.  In the back straight MISS OLYMPIA was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight PARCHMENT checked off the heels of NOT LIKE TOMMY.  On the turn into the home straight DAYSEAS RIGG was wide.  Approaching the winning post SIVAMET and NOT LIKE TOMMY were racing tight and bumping.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m

SOUTHERN FLOSS was best to begin with SHAYLOR NORRIS and SMART HORNET slowly away.  Entering the back straight SOUTHERN FLOSS checked off the heels of QUE SERA.  In the back straight SMART HORNET was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight SHAYLOR NORRIS and KAMILAROI DUK were racing tight and bumping.  In the home straight SOUTHERN FLOSS was wide.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m
