GENERAL

 

 

Race 1 – Maiden 520m

MY NAME’S JEFF was best to begin.  MINDY’S DREAM and TIP YA CAP bumped shortly after the start.  MINDY’S DREAM and TIP YA CAP continued to bump in the front straight on the 1st occasion resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground causing interference to SPRING BLONDE who lost considerable ground as a result.  SPRING BLONDE checked across the heels of HOPEFUL JACK and lost ground shortly after the start.  BLISS BOMB shifted in approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion and caused interference to MCCAW MCCAW.  MY NAME’S JEFF shifted out across the heels of HOPEFUL JACK on the turn out of the front straight, resulting in BLISS BOMB being forced to race wide.  BLISS BOMB checked off the heels of MY NAME’S JEFF and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  MY NAME’S JEFF and SPRING BLONDE raced wide in the back straight.  TIP YA CAP checked off the heels of BLISS BOMB and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SPRING BLONDE raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound TIP YA CAP was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – Novice 431m

Even start.  HANSON MURRAY shifted in from a wide position shortly after the start tightening TOUCH OF CAJUN in onto MOONSTONE MAGIC, who in turn caused interference to FREEZE FRAME.  SPRING DRAGO checked off the heels of GUNSTOCK and lost some ground approaching the turn into the back straight.  RED RIVER ROSE and MOONSTONE MAGIC bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in RED RIVER ROSE losing some ground.  RED RIVER ROSE checked off the heels of HANSON MURRAY and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  TOUCH OF CAJUN and HANSON MURRAY bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in HANSON MURRAY losing ground.  RED RIVER ROSE and HANSON MURRAY raced wide in the home straight.

 

Race 3 – Novice 520m

Even start.  DARCY’S FANTASY knuckled over as the start was effected resulting in the greyhound losing some ground.  THIS TIME MADDIE shifted out as the start was effected while VELOCITY MYSTIC shifted in from a wide position resulting in DARCY’S FANTASY and COUTA GODDESS being tightened for racing room and losing ground.  VELOCITY MYSTIC continued to shift in bumping THIS TIME MADDIE in onto CAPTAIN THURSDAY, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  REFUND REQUIRED was tightened for racing room and checked VELOCITY MYSTIC approaching the turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion.  BOGIE BEKIM checked off the hindquarters of VELOCITY MYSTIC on the turn out of the front straight resulting in BOGIE BEKIM becoming unbalanced and shifting out causing CAPTAIN THURSDAY and DARCY’S FANTASY to race wide on the turn.  THIS TIME MADDIE and COUTA GODDESS bumped on the turn out of the front straight.  COUTA GODDESS checked across the heels of MAJOR GENERAL on the turn out of the front straight.  MAJOR GENERAL shifted out approaching the turn into the back straight bumping BOGIE BEKIM, resulting in both these greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  COUTA GODDESS shifted out and bumped REFUND REQUIRED on the turn into the back straight resulting in COUTA GODDESS falling and causing interference to DARCY’S FANTASY.  CAPTAIN THURSDAY checked off the heels of BOGIE BEKIM and lost ground prior to entering the back straight.  DARCY’S FANTASY raced wide n the back straight.  MAJOR GENERAL and BOGIE BEKIM raced tight on the turn out of the back straight resulting in MAJOR GENERAL losing ground and checking off the heels of BOGIE BEKIM.  DARCY’S FANTASY raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound COUTA GODDESS was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – 5th Grade 520m

Even start.  STOLE MY HEART jumped awkwardly and shifted out as the start was effected bumping SCAR’S BROTHER who was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  EYES ON ME and SPRING SHANGHAI bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.  KEWIN UP shifted out on the turn out of the front straight resulting in interference to MUGGED ON TOUR.  SPRING SHANGHAI and GIFTED ANGEL bumped approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in GIFTED ANGEL losing some ground.  KEWIN UP raced very wide approaching the turn into the back straight.  MUGGED ON TOUR raced wide on the turn into the back straight.  STOLE MY HEART checked off the heels of KEWIN UP and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  CIGAR SAM and EYES ON ME bumped on the turn into the home straight resulting in some inconvenience to SPRING SHANGHAI.  EYES ON ME shifted out across the heels of CIGAR SAM and raced wide into the home straight.

 

Race 5 – 5th Grade 520m

ALLEZ DE BRAVE was best to begin.  QUEEN OF SHOW, COUTA MODEL and SHOW BOUND bumped shortly after the start and again in the front straight resulting in QUEEN OF SHOW and COUTA MODEL becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  SHOW BOUND, MAYWYN WILL WIN and DEEP DESPAIR bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in the 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  Shortly after SHOW BOUND checked off the heels of MAYWYN’S YING and shifted out forcing MAYWYN WILL WIN to race wide.  QUEEN OF SHOW was also forced to race wide approaching the turn into the back straight.  MAYWYN WILL WIN and QUEEN OF SHOW raced wide into and down the back straight.  MAYWYN WILL WIN shifted out and bumped QUEEN OF SHOW on the turn into the home straight resulting in MAYWYN WILL WIN raced wide forcing QUEEN OF SHOW to race wide in the home straight.

 

Race 6 – 3/4th Grade 431m

KING’S GEM was difficult to load into the boxes and will therefore be boxed 1st in future races.  QUE SERA and SHYAN YAHOO were best to begin.  FYRE GAL was slow to begin.  SUNDAY SUNRISE was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  MAYWYN ZILCH, KING’S GEM, LAKODA DAWN and SHYAN YAHOO bumped approaching the turn into the back straight, resulting in KING’S GEM and LAKODA DAWN becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  LAKODA DAWN checked off the heels of MAYWYN ZILCH and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  QUE SERA and MAYWYN ZILCH bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in QUE SERA losing ground and causing some inconvenience to WILDASH WARRIOR. LAKODA DAWN checked across the heels of SUNDAY SUNRISE and lost ground on the turn into the home straight.  Shortly after SUNDAY SUNRISE checked off the heels of QUE SERA and became unbalanced and lost ground.  SUNDAY SUNRISE raced wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound KING’S GEM was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days.  Trainer Ms. D Hannon was fined $100 under Rule 80 (o) improper conduct behind the starting boxes.

 

Race 7 – 5th Grade Final 520m

SPLIT SYSTEM was best to begin and ALOTA AMY was slow to begin.  OKA’S ANGEL and ALOTA AMY bumped on the turn out of the front straight resulting in OKA’S ANGEL becoming unbalanced shifting out causing ALOTA AMY to race wide.  BOOM WARRIOR shifted out on the turn out of the front straight checking over the top of SPLIT SYSTEM and bumping SIVAMET, resulting in BOOM WARRIOR becoming unbalanced shifting out bumping OKA’S ANGEL out onto ALOTA AMY, resulting in the 3 greyhounds becoming unbalanced and racing extremely wide on the turn into the back straight.  SPLIT SYSTEM and GARRANGAY DUK bumped on the turn into the back straight.  BOOM WARRIOR checked off the heels of OKA’S ANGEL and lost ground just prior to entering the back straight.  SPLIT SYSTEM raced wide in the back straight.  ALOTA AMY lost ground prior to entering the home straight appearing injured.

 

The greyhound ALOTA MAY was vetted and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. K Mackenroth that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks prior to nominating.

 

Race 8 – 3/4th Grade 520m

RATATAT and ROCKY BE GOOD were best to begin.  PACIFIC HARBOUR and GUN LEGACY were marginally slow to begin.  FLASH ZOE, GUN LEGACY, PACIFIC HARBOUR and RUSTY’S IMAGE all bumped shortly after the start resulting in GUN LEGACY losing ground and FLASH ZOE becoming unbalanced.  ROCKY BE GOOD shifted in on the turn out of the front straight resulting in KING ELLIOT checking across the heels of ROCKY BE GOOD causing interference to NOT LIKE TOMMY.  FLASH ZOE checked off the heels of NOT LIKE TOMMY and lost ground on the turn out of the front straight.  NOT LIKE TOMMY and KING ELLIOT bumped after turning out of the front straight resulting in KING ELLIOT becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.  GUN LEGACY and KING ELLIOT bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in KING ELLIOT losing ground.  GUN LEGACY and RUSTY’S IMAGE raced wide in the back straight.  PACIFIC HARBOUR checked off the heels of KING ELLIOT and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  RUSTY’S IMAGE raced wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound PACIFIC HARBOUR was vetted and found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 9 – 5th Grade 431m

The start of this race was delayed 2.5 minutes due to interstate harness racing.

 

KAMILAROI DUK and GRAVITY WOLF were best to begin.  SHAYLOR NORRIS was slow to begin.  JAGGER LILLY and RIVAL STATE bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and shifting out causing interference to DRAGON DANCER.  GRAVITY WOLF checked off the heels of KAMILAROI DUK and lost ground after turning into the back straight.  PROUD AS PUNCH checked off the heels of GRAVITY WOLF and lost ground just prior to entering the back straight.  GRAVITY WOLF checked off the heels of RIVAL STATE and lost considerable ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  DRAGON DANCER improved onto the heels of PROUD AS PUNCH and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  JAGGER LILLY raced wide in the back straight.

 

Race 10 – 5th Grade 431m

URBAN STREET was best to begin.  BAY OF SPRITE and IPSWICH MELODY bumped shortly after the start causing some inconvenience to HARA’S SIZZLE.  HARA’S SIZZLE checked across the heels of DAYSEAS RIGG on the turn into the back straight causing some inconvenience to HER’S NOT HIS.  ROYAL ALBERT checked off the heels of IPSWICH MELODY on the turn into the back straight causing some inconvenience to BAY OF SPRITE.  HARA’S SIZZLE checked off the hindquarters of INSIDE PASS prior to entering the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing considerable ground.  BAY OF SPRITE and HARA’S SIZZLE bumped in the back straight resulting in BAY OF SPRITE losing ground.
