Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN 431m

2 Spring Dani – checked off heels when rounding the turn out of the back straight and lost ground.

 

4 Hidden Pearl – buffeted between runners shortly after the start, was severely checked and lost ground.

 

5 Yogi's Shadow – tightened for room shortly after the start, was severely checked and fell, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

6 Spring Jasper – bumped with other runners when entering the first turn. Improved onto the heels of another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight, checked and lost ground. Galloped on the heels by another runner shortly after and lost ground.

 

7 Anfield Miss – collided with another runner shortly after the start, became unbalanced and almost fell, and lost ground. Bumped with another runner in the back straight and lost ground. Contacted on the heels when entering the home straight and was momentarily hampered. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

9/1 National Cheer – checked out off heels and raced wide when rounding the turn into the back straight. Bumped with another runner in the back straight and lost ground. Bumped with another runner when rounding the turn out of the back straight, checked and lost ground.

 

10/3 Hombre Duck – tightened for room and collided with other runners shortly after the start, was severely checked and lost ground. Improved onto heels when rounding the turn into the home straight, checked outwards across heels of another runner and lost ground.

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 431m

1 This Time Darkie – collided with another runner when entering the first turn and was momentarily hampered.

 

2 This Time Talks – contacted on the heels when entering the first turn and was momentarily hampered.

 

3 Werina By Chance – tightened for room and collided with runners when entering the first turn, was severely checked and fell, and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination reveal soreness to the back and the greyhound was stood down for 10 days.

 

4 Zeke The Freak – bumped shortly after the start.

 

5 This Time Tessie – bumped shortly after the start. Shifted inwards and collided with another runner when entering the first turn, was checked and lost ground.

 

8 Villa Lucky - marginally slow to begin.

 

9/6 Big Bad Ned - marginally slow to begin. Checked inwards across heels shortly after the start and lost ground. Checked off a fallen runner and then improved onto the heels of another runner when entering the first turn, was severely checked and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

2 Last Drink – bumped shortly after the start and lost ground.

 

3 Jacobus – bumped shortly after the start.

 

7 Magic Rascal – gave considerable ground to the field shortly after the start and took no competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strain to the offside hip and was stood down for 28 days. Trainer Lawrence Topping was advised the greyhound requires a veterinary certificate prior to racing.

 

8 Exciting News – slow to begin.

 

9/4 After All – stewards acceded to a request from trainer Matt Bourke to apply permanent strapping to the greyhounds’ track leg. Bumped shortly after the start. Tightened for room when rounding the turn out of the back straight, checked and lost ground.

 

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS NOVICE (2) 431m

3 Trounced – marginally slow to begin. Bumped at the start and lost ground. Contacted on the hindquarters by another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight, checked and lost ground.

 

4 Tyrant Duck – marginally slow to begin. Bumped at the start and lost ground then shifted outwards hampering another runner. Checked out off heels when entering the back straight and lost ground. Contacted the hindquarters of another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight, checked and lost ground. Contacted on the heels when entering the home straight, checked and lost ground.

 

6 Cabernet Merlot – bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for room when entering the first turn, checked and lost ground. Raced wide in the back straight.

 

7 Dream A Lot – slow to begin. Hampered by another runner shortly after the start. Shifted outwards off heels when rounding the turn into the back straight and lost ground. Checked inwards off heels when entering the home straight.

 

8 Galway Diva – kennel staff reported to stewards the greyhound was found free of its kennel in the race bay prior to the event. Trainer Kevin Galloway was reminded of his obligations to secure the greyhound properly during kennelling. A pre-race veterinary examination passed the greyhound fit to start. Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

10 Cawbourne Bonnie – marginally slow to begin.

 

Race 5 - ADVENTURE TOURISM AUSTRALIA GRADE 5 (1) 431m

1 Squawking Squaw – bumped through the first turn.

 

3 Miss Leonardo – blundered at the start and almost fell, and lost ground. Contacted the heels of another runner shortly after the start. Collided with another runner when entering the first turn, was severely checked and lost ground.

 

4 Aerobic Zone – contacted on the heels by another runner shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered. Improved onto the heels of other runners when entering the first turn, was severely checked and lost considerable ground. Tightened for room in the back straight and momentarily hampered.

 

5 Bronze Horseman – tightened for room when entering the first turn, was severely checked and lost considerable ground. Tightened for room when leaving the back straight, checked and lost ground.

 

6 Maywyn's Dahnay – tightened for room when entering the first turn, was severely checked and lost ground.

 

8 Here I Am – raced wide in the back straight.

1 It Ain't Lionel – declared a later scratching during kennelling at 2.24pm under veterinary advice. The greyhound was found to have a strain of the offside foreleg flexor tendon and was stood down for 10 days.

 

2 Rose Ali – bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for room when rounding the turn into the back straight, shifted outwards across heels and collided with another runner, was checked and lost ground. Bumped with another runner in the back straight.

 

3 Flying September – tightened for room when entering the first turn, checked and lost ground. Collided with another runner, which shifted outwards, when rounding the turn into the back straight, and was taken out onto another runner, checked and lost ground. Bumped with another runner in the back straight.

 

4 Impatient Kid – tightened for room when entering the first turn, checked and lost ground.

 

5 Tuta Time – bumped with other runners shortly after the start.

 

6 Wee Yes Sam – buffeted between runners when entering the first turn, checked and lost ground.

 

8 Kravitz - slow to begin. Improved onto the back of another runner when rounding the turn into the back straight was severely checked and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

9 It Ain't Len - collided with another runner, which shifted outwards, when rounding the turn into the back straight, and was taken out and galloped on by another runner, was severely checked and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

 

Race 7 - GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON BEST 8 431m

1 Pre Cruise – checked off heels and shifted outwards when entering the back straight and lost ground.

 

2 Fernando Bee – clipped on the heels by another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight and was momentarily hampered.

 

3 Rapid Effect – tightened for room through the first turn and was momentarily hampered. Bumped with another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight and was momentarily hampered.

 

4 Maywyn Cash – raced wide for most of the event.

 

6 Sylvan - marginally slow to begin. Checked off heels when rounding the turn into the home straight.

 

7 Best Fit – collided with another runner when rounding the turn into the back straight, checked and lost ground. Bumped with another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight and was momentarily hampered.

 

8 Canya Cruise – collided with another runner when rounding the turn into the back straight, checked and lost ground. Checked off heels when rounding the turn into the home straight, brushed the running rail and was momentarily hampered. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the nearside hindleg stifle and was stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 8 - TAB 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 520m

3 Ringbark Reign – checked out off heels when entering the first turn and lost ground.

 

5 Senorita Maywyn – shifted outwards off heels in the front straight, collided with another runner, checked and lost ground.

 

7 Uno Yes Sam – bumped with another runner at the start and was momentarily hampered. Collided with another runner in the front, was severely checked and lost considerable ground.

 

8 Rio Valiente – bumped with another runner at the start and was momentarily hampered.

1 That's It Dennis – bumped with another runner through the first turn. Commenced to give ground in the back straight and lose positioning with the field until being tightened between runners when rounding the turn into the home straight, checked and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindleg back muscle and was stood down for 28 days. Trainer’s representative Shane Byers was advised the greyhound requires a veterinary certificate prior to racing.

 

2 Good Boy Ivan – tightened between runners when rounding the first turn, checked and lost ground.

 

3 Kuranya – bumped with another runner through the first turn and was momentarily hampered.

 

4 Savitar – collided with other runners when entering the first turn, checked and lost ground.

 

5 Lone Cowgirl – buffeted between runners when approaching the first turn, checked and lost ground. Bumped with another runner when leaving the back straight, checked and lost ground. Checked off heels when rounding the turn out of the

 

6 Elle Koda – collided with other runners when entering the first turn, checked and shifted outwards colliding with another runner, and lost ground.

 

8 Sandpaper Smithy – bumped by another runner when rounding the first turn, hampered and lost ground. Bumped with another runner when leaving the back straight, checked and lost ground. Bumped with another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight and was momentarily hampered.

 

Race 10 - BODHI INK TATTOO GALLERY 5PW 431m

1 Team Austria – a post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration behind the offside foreleg dew claw and was stood down for 10 days.

 

3 Rock Like Jagger – shifted outwards at the start, collided with other runners, and lost ground. Collided with another runner through the first turn, checked and lost ground. Galloped on the heels by another runner through the first turn, was severely checked and lost ground.

 

5 Steelcat Binx – tightened for room at the start, checked and lost ground. Collided with another runner through the first turn, checked and lost ground. Steadied off heels when leaving the back straight.

 

6 Little Huggy – bumped with another runner shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered.

 

7 Brae Bear – clipped on the heels by another runner shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near hind leg and was stood down for 10 days.

 

8 Austria's Heidi – shifted out wide when entering the home straight.

 

9 Shaggy Rose – tightened for room at the start, severely checked and lost ground. Tightened for room then improved onto the heels of another runner through first turn, was severely checked and lost ground.
