General:

Following a report from QRIC Stewards conducting routine kennel inspections, it was established that the greyhound Aerobic System, trained by Darren Makowiecki, that was entered to complete in race 1, at Ipswich 6 2021, was domiciled incorrectly at Edmund Makowiecki’s kennels.  An inquiry was opened in which Mr Darren Makowiecki advised  Stewards that he transferred  the greyhound to his father’s kennels  last week and had failed to lodge the relevant paperwork with the licencing and registration department.  Mr Darren Makowiecki pleaded guilty to a breach under Gar 25(1)(c) which states–

 Where a greyhound has been nominated for an Event and in the opinion of the stewards - the greyhound is being domiciled or kept otherwise than at the registered address of the registered trainer. 

Mr Darren Makowiecki was fined the sum of $500.  In assessing penalty stewards took into consideration his guilty plea, forthright evidence and his personal circumstances.  Mr Darren Makowiecki was advised of his right of appeal.  The greyhound Aerobic System was stood down until relevant paperwork has been submitted.
