Race 1 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m

 

1 Whiskey Diva – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was tightened, through the back turn improved onto heels.

 

2 Mob Rules – Into the 1st turn was tightened, leaving the 1st turn was checked, raced wide for the middle and late stages of event.

 

3 Cyclone Rinaldo – Into the back turn was checked.

 

4 Hara's Pearl – Into the 1st turn was bumped becoming unbalanced.

 

8 Mickey My Boy – Slow to begin, through the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

9 Powder Keg (7) – Slow to begin, through the 1st turn was inconvenienced, in the back straight commenced to weaken. A post-race veterinary examination revealed and injury to its nearside wrist and was stood down from racing for 14 days.

 

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m

 

3 Hoover – Entering the home straight was bumped becoming unbalanced.

 

4 Dodgy Mick – Entering the home straight collided with another runner.

 

5 Hachey Boy – Through the 1st turn was tightened.  

 

7 Outlaw Rocky – Slow to begin, through the 1st turn was held up for clear running, through the back turn checked across heels.

8 Just Firebug – Entering the back straight improved onto heels, into the back turn was checked.

4 High Lighter – On jumping away shifted in abrupted.

 

7 Zenithar – Through the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

8 Black Magic Mojo – Into the back turn was checked.

9 Side Tracked (2) – Slow to begin. As the greyhound was difficult to box today, the greyhound will now be endorsed to be boxed 1st.

 

 

 

Race 7 - CHASE NEWSPAPER 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 431m

 

1 Romantic Verses – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

2 Derrillean – Into the 1st turn was checked hitting the running rail as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

3 Spring Gault – Into the 1st turn was tightened.

 

4 Spring Sonic – Into the 1st turn was tightened, through the back turn checked across heels.

 

5 Merchant Navy – Into the back turn was severely checked after being tightened. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock and was stood down from racing for 90 days. The greyhound was transported to the North Lakes veterinary clinic for further assessment. This matter will be referred to the greyhound racing injury review panel. 

 

7 Tequila Worm – Rounding the home turn bumped with another runner.

 

8 Resonate – Rounding the home turn bumped with another runner.

 

 

 

Race 8 - GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND BEST 8 431m

 

1 Cockney Pride – Into the 1st turn was checked, through the back turn checked across heels.

 

2 Chance – Into the 1st turn was checked.  

 

3 It's A Rush – Into the 1st turn was checked, through the 1st turn was checked.

 

4 Stick Hunter – Into the 1st turn was checked, through the 1st turn was checked, raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

5 Rushmore Chase – Into the 1st turn was checked.  

 

6 Slick Werina – Through the 1st turn was checked.

5 This Duke Maywyn – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

6 Tuta Rose – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn improved onto heels and was checked, into the back turn was inconvenienced and checked.

 

7 One Size Up – Into the 1st turn was checked, entering the back straight was tightened.

 

8 Reggie's Brother – Into the 1st turn was checked, rounding the home turn was checked across heels.

5 Wing Chun Girl – Through the back turn was taken wider on the track.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to nearside back muscle and was stood down from racing for 28 days. Trainer T Parry was advised the greyhound must trial prior to racing next but only after the injury stand down has expired.
