General: Race 5 and Race 8 were declared a no race due to a malfunction with the lure shortly after the start.  After consultation with the Ipswich Greyhound Club Manager Narelle Long and Dave Meier from Racing Queensland it was deemed that the lure issues could not be rectified to run the rest of the meeting without the possibility of a further malfunction.   In the interest of safety and animal welfare stewards decided to abandon the remainder of the meeting.

3 Jayda's Reward Best the begin. Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

5 Hotshot Miss Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent injuries.  Underwent a secondary post-race veterinary examination and found to suffering from a near pin injury and stood down for 10 days.

6 Mahi Mahi Miss Slow to begin.

7 Lady Periwinkle Raced wide approaching the home straight and lost ground.

8 Chasing Bucks Raced wide approaching the home straight and lost ground

Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE 2 288m

1 Four Fourteen Best to begin.  Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

2 Tuta Romeo Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

3 Molly Jones Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

4 Gold Fillings Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

2 Better Shuffle Slow to begin.  Checked at the turn after the back straight and lost ground.

4 Perfect Pins Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

5 Hachey Boy Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

7 Mohawk Mindy Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS GRADE 5 (1) 2 431m

1 Jump Man Shifted out and checked numerous runners at the first turn. Raced wide in the back straight and for the remainder of the event.

2 Ando's A Thief Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

3 Rochill Jake Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

4 Expat Kitty Hawk Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

7 Commands Respect Slow to begin.

8 Lightning Comet Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

Race 5 - GREYHOUND GEAR 0-3 WINS 3 630m

Declared a no race due to the lure malfunctioning.

2 Resonate Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

3 Tequila Worm Checked at the first turn and lost ground.  Raced wide at the turn approaching the home straight and lost ground.

Race 7 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS NMW 2 520m

1 Farmor Alfa's Checked off heels at the winning post on the first occasion and lost ground.  Checked off heels in the back straight and lost ground.

6 Hombre Duck Checked at the turn after the back straight and lost ground.

8 Hop Along Warren Appeared to sustain an injury when racing in the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a serious injury to the greyhounds off side hock and was stood down for 90 days.  The greyhound was placed in a Robert Jones Bandage and administered pain relief on course.  The greyhound was transported to North Lakes Veterinary Surgery for x rays and further diagnostic testing.  This matter will be referred to the greyhound injury review panel.

Race 8 - BEENLEIGH LEGAL MIXED 4/5 2 520m

Declared a no race due to the lure malfunctioning.

2 Queenslander  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
