Race 1 - TAB LIVE SKY RACING VISION MAIDEN 2 431m

 

2 Spitfire Sammy – Shortly after the start was bumped becoming unbalanced, through the back turn was tightened.

 

3 Far More Women – Into the 1st turn was held up for clear running.

 

4 Young Tiger – Into the 1st turn was galloped on, into the back turn improved onto heels and was checked.

 

5 This Is Sirius – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

6 Archie Boy – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

8 Chasing Bucks – Entering the home straight checked off heels.

 

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 2 520m

 

1 Sugar Pie – Approaching the 1st turn was checked, into the 1st turn was checked.

 

3 Showtime Joe – Approaching the 1st turn was checked,

 

5 Absolute Desire – Approaching the 1st turn was checked.

 

6 Perfect Pins – Through the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

1 Quick Flick – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was checked.

 

2 Farmor Wary – Entering the home straight turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainers representative P Carleton regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the submissions from Mr P Carleton stewards deemed that Farmor Wary did take its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 69A Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Farmor Wary was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

3 Spring Gault – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was checked, entering the back straight checked across heels, into the back turn was checked.

 

4 Deb's Desire – Into the back turn was checked.

 

5 Big Jim Buzz – Leaving the 1st turn was checked.

 

6 Queen Of Cakes – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

8 Paradise Five – Leaving the 1st turn was checked, entering the back straight improved onto heels.

1 San Polo – Approaching the back turn was checked, rounding the home turn was checked.

 

2 Brandy Balloon – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was checked.

 

3 Ron's Brother – Into the 1st turn was checked, rounding the home turn was checked.

 

5 I'm Shy Boy – Into the 1st turn was checked.  

 

7 Spring Pirate – Into the back turn was inconvenienced, rounding the home turn was checked.

 

8 Some Idea – Into the 1st turn was checked, rounding the home turn was inconvenienced.

5 Prince Of Belair – Into the 1st turn was checked, in the home straight on the 1st occasion was inconvenienced.

4 Key West – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was inconvenienced, in the back straight checked across heels.

 

5 Old Money – Slow to begin.

 

6 Roxy Tequila – Rounding the home turn checked across heels.

1 Cosmic Boom – Into the 1st turn was checked, into the back turn made contact with the running rail after being tightened, through the back turn bumped with another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound cramped during the event and was stood down from racing for 10 days and must complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next. Stewards questioned Mr Hall on his future racing intentions with Cosmic Boom, Mr Hall stated he would be looking at racing over shorter distances, he further added Cosmic Boom was worked up before tonight’s event which could of lead to it cramping again. Stewards advised Mr Hall that when Cosmic Boom races next the greyhound must undergo a further pre-race veterinary examination.

 

3 Spring Sonic – Into the back turn was checked, entering the home straight was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a split webbing to nearside hind toe and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

 

4 Wilma's Shadow – Approaching the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

7 Referral – Shortly after the start was tightened, through the back turn was inconvenienced.

 

8 Select Moment – Into the back turn was checked.

 

 

 

Race 9 - GJ WALSH & CO BEST 8 2 431m

 

4 Hooked On Henry – Shortly after the start was inconvenienced.

 

5 Spring Curly – Slow to begin

 

7 Truthiness – Shortly after the start was inconvenienced.

5 Jackie's Star – Through the 1st turn was checked, entering the back straight was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

6 Remembering – Through the 1st turn was checked, entering the back straight was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
