Race 1 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m

 

2 Shishkin – Bumped on numerous occasions shortly after the start. Checked off heels entering the top turn.

 

4 Far More Women – Tightened for racing room and checked shortly after the start.

 

7 Farmor Truth – Checked entering the back straight.

 

8 Farmor Movement – Checked rounding the turn into the front straight.

 

9 Ciao Bella (3) – Tightened between runners and checked shortly after the start.

 

10 Hot Lollies (5) – Checked off heels rounding the first turn.

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m

 

2 Farmor Victorio – Slow to begin. Commenced to give ground shortly after the start.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and will be stood down from racing for a period of 14 days.

 

3 Hachey Boy – Checked entering the back straight.

 

4 Bellissimo Blue – Slow to begin.

 

6 Midnight Ember – Stewards inquired into the racing manners of the greyhound rounding the home turn and into the front straight. After viewing the patrol footage and considering submissions from trainer R Perry, stewards were satisfied that Midnight Ember had turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner on numerous occasions. Therefore, Steward’s invoked GAR 69(1) marring 1st offence - 28 day stand down at Ipswich. Further the greyhound must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to next racing.

 

10 Baby Thor (7) – Checked by another runner rounding the home turn and into the front straight.

 

 

Race 3 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE (1) 431m

 

 

2 Farmor Cochise – Stewards questioned Mr S Scott the trainer’s representative for Mr W Scott in relation to the performance of the greyhound when beaten as a short priced favourite. Mr S Scott stated he was happy with today’s performance and in his opinion the greyhound ran to an expected race time. He added that the preparation of Farmor Cochise had been uninterrupted, and neither he nor any of the connections had supported the greyhound in today’s event. Stewards noted the explanation tendered by Mr Scott.

 

5 Farmor Destiny – Bumped and checked entering the first turn. Checked off heels entering the back straight. Checked entering the top turn.

 

7 Magic Bairn – Bumped and checked rounding the first turn.

 

8 Spring Piper – Bumped and checked rounding the first turn.

 

9 Just Firebug (3) – Began awkwardly. Checked entering the back straight.

 

 

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS NOVICE (2) 431m

 

3 Flying Phil – Checked entering the top turn.

 

4 Farmor Pizazz – Checked entering the back straight.

 

7 Urraca – Checked off heels and forced wider entering into the back straight.

 

10 Rosdue Yeti (5) – Tightened, checked and forced wider entering into the back straight.  

 

 

Race 5 - CHASE NEWSPAPER GRADE 5 (1) 431m

 

2 Dynamite Travis – Bumped on numerous occasions shortly after the start. Checked entering the top turn.

 

3 Waikarie Tori - Bumped on numerous occasions shortly after the start and lost ground.

 

5 Friend Lee's Boy – Bumped and forced wider entering the front straight.

 

6 Chasing Boodie - Bumped on numerous occasions shortly after the start. Shifted out rounding the turn into the front straight.

 

7 Little Lacey – Checked entering the first turn.

2 Country Boy - Checked entering the first turn.

4 Maywyn A Cracker - Checked entering the first turn. Clipped heels and checked rounding the turn into the front straight.

 

5 Dynamite Hope – Checked entering the back straight.

 

7 Fernando Beach – Slow to begin.

 

Race 7 - BEENLEIGH LEGAL NMW 520m

 

3 Amber Days – Clipped heels and checked leaving the first turn.

 

4 Jackie's Star – Shifted out and checked other runners leaving the first turn. Checked off heels entering the front straight.

 

6 Patricia's Pride – Checked leaving the first turn. Checked off heels in the front straight.

 

7 Starlight Belle – Bumped shortly after the start. Checked off heels leaving the first turn.

 

8 Media Rights – Shifted out into the first turn and commenced to give ground taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the offside pin. The greyhound will be stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and is required to complete 1 injury trial prior to returning to racing.

 

Race 8 - QUEENSLAND BRED FINAL GRADE 5 520m

 

3 Shot The Sheriff – Began awkwardly. Checked off heels entering the back straight.

 

5 Godges – Checked entering the top turn.

 

6 Don't Tell Helen – Raced wide in the back straight.

 

7 Hara's Reign – Checked off heels entering the front straight.

3 Luminosity – Bumped with another runner entering the front straight.

 

4 First Black Jack – Bumped with another runner entering the front straight.
