1 Hozier Monelli – Stumbled rounding the turn out of the back straight.

 

2 Urban Girl – Checked rounding the first turn.

RACE 2 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 630M

 

1 Big Fat Wally – Bumped rounding the turn into the home straight.

 

2 Brockie Magic – Checked rounding the turn out of the back straight.

 

3 Oh So Sassy – Severely checked rounding the first turn.

 

4 Rained Off – Inconvenienced rounding the first turn. Raced wide in the back straight.

 

5 Underwater – Bumped rounding the first turn. Bumped rounding the home turn.

 

8 Blazing Smoke – Inconvenienced rounding the first turn. Collided with another runner in the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

 

RACE 3 - TAB IPSWICH GOLD CUP (G2) HEAT 1 OPEN 520M

 

2 Suzie's Face – Dragged down and severely checked rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its near hind leg and was stood down from racing for seven (7) days.   

 

3 Power Moves – Severely checked and fell rounding the first turn. Trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

6 Hara's Skye – Severely checked and fell rounding the first turn. Trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

7 She's Sweet – Bumped in the front straight. Severely checked rounding the first turn.

 

8 Kasey's Money – Bumped in the front straight.

 

 

RACE 4 - TAB IPSWICH GOLD CUP (G2) HEAT 2 OPEN 520M

 

1 Cindy Maree – Checked rounding the turn out the back straight.

 

2 Tungsten Miss – Checked rounding the first turn.

 

4 Milligan – Tightened shortly after the start.

 

 

RACE 5 - TAB IPSWICH GOLD CUP (G2) HEAT 3 OPEN 520M

 

2 Ouzo Herrera – Checked rounding the first turn. Checked racing through the catching pen.

 

3 Burned – Severely checked rounding the first turn and was dragged down. Checked racing through the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off hind leg and was stood down from racing for ten (10) days.

 

4 Antonio's Pride – Tightened shortly after the start. Checked rounding the first turn.

 

5 Queenslander – Checked rounding the first turn.

 

7 Hara's Pandora – Severely checked rounding the first turn. Checked rounding the turn out of the back straight.

3 Showdown – Dragged down rounding the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its near side hip and was stood down from racing for seven (7) days.  

 

4 Sushi Mango – Collided with another runner racing through the catching pen.

 

5 Pebble's Girl – Slow to begin. Checked racing through the catching pen. Checked rounding the turn into the home straight.

 

6 Building Success – Checked approaching the first turn. Collided with another runner racing through the catching pen.

 

8 De Ferran – Raced wide rounding the first turn.

 

 

RACE 7 - TAB IPSWICH GOLD CUP (G2) HEAT 5 OPEN 520M

 

1 Celebrity Aisha – Turned its head to the outside making muzzle contact with another runner over middle and concluding stages of the home straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Denise Robinson regarding the greyhounds racing actions in the home straight, and, after hearing her evidence, deemed the greyhound’s conduct to constitute an offence of marring (1st offence) pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 123 and the greyhound was subsequently suspended from racing for twenty-eight (28) days at the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club and must perform a satisfactory trial prior to racing again.

 

2 Shrouded – Checked rounding the first turn.

 

3 Gold Fillings – Marred by another runner in the home straight.

 

4 Fleet Feet Pete – Tightened shortly after the start. Turned its head to the outside taking its attention away from the lure over the early, middle and concluding stages of the home straight. Stewards spoke to trainer Stephen Sherwell regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight and, after hearing his evidence, deemed the greyhound’s conduct to constitute an offence of failing to pursue (1st offence) pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 124 and the greyhound was subsequently suspended from racing for twenty-eight (28) days at the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club and must perform a satisfactory trial prior to racing again.

 

5 Just A Sort – Tightened shortly after the start. Carried wider rounding the first turn.

 

7 Come On Aussie – Checked rounding the first turn.

 

 

RACE 8 - TAB IPSWICH GOLD CUP (G2) HEAT 6 OPEN 520M

 

1 Who Told Tiger – Checked rounding the first turn.

 

2 Scintillate – Checked rounding the first turn.

 

3 Booming Myah – Tightened approaching the first turn.

 

4 High Sun – Slow to begin.

 

5 Running Express – Slow to begin.

 

7 Black Comanche – Faltered in its stride entering the back straight and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off hind leg and the greyhound was stood down from racing for ninety (90) days. The greyhound must complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing next. Trainer Gregory Stella advised Stewards that he will transfer the greyhound to the North Lakes Veterinary Hospital for further assessment and treatment. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Racing Injury Review Panel.

 

 

RACE 9 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MIXED 4/5 520M

 

The start of Race 9 was delayed due to the boxes malfunctioning, resulting in a manual start. Stewards subsequently reviewed the footage and were satisfied that no runner was impeded as a result of the manual start.

 

1 Shanti – Inconvenienced rounding the first turn.

 

2 Mystic Cora – Checked rounding the first turn.

 

3 Mere Magic – Tightened shortly after the start.

 

4 Aces Up – Raced wide throughout the event.

 

8 Red Buzz – Checked rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

9 Yours (5) – Slow to begin.

 

10 Tequila Worm (7) – Raced wide rounding the first turn.

 

 

RACE 10 - DOVER & SONS GRADE 5 520M

 

2 Daysea's Crick – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its near hind foot and was stood down from racing for seven (7) days.  

 

5 Energetic Cloud – Slow to begin.

 

6 Armed Ruler – Bumped rounding the first turn.

 

8 Satine – Slow to begin.

1 Key West – Checked rounding the turn into the home straight.

 

2 Sticker Sparkles – Slow to begin. Checked leaving the back straight. Turned its head to the inside making muzzle contact with another runner over the concluding stages of the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its near side hip and was stood down from racing for fourteen (14) days. Stewards spoke to trainer Michael Edwards regarding the greyhounds racing actions in the home straight, and, after hearing his evidence, deemed the greyhound’s conduct to constitute an offence of marring pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 123. As the greyhound had one (1) previous marring offence pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 123, Stewards deemed this to be the greyhound’s 2nd offence pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 127 and, as such, the greyhound was suspended from racing for twenty-eight (28) days at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial prior to racing again.

 

4 Daniel's Loss – Tightened shortly after the start. Faltered in the front straight and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its off side pin and was stood down from racing for twenty-eight (28) days.

 

6 Out Of Line – Checked rounding the turn into the back straight.
