Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m

 

2 Sirius Keith – Entering the back straight was inconvenienced.

 

4 Flying Yumi – Into the 1st turn was tightened and severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

5 Galloping Black – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

6 Love Letter – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

7 Ninetymile Rocks– Into the 1st turn was checked, in the back straight was held up for clear running, through the back turn was inconvenienced.

 

8 Whispering Ella – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m

 

1 What A Stunner – Into the 1st turn eased and was checked, a post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its chest and was stood from racing for 7 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Renald Attard regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the submissions from Mr Attard, stewards deemed What A Stunner had visibly eased therefore invoked GAR 125 Failing to Pursue with injury. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence What A Stunner was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 7 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial once the injury stand down period has expired.

 

6 My Villain – Shortly after the start was bumped heavily, leaving the 1st turn checked across, into the back turn was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

7 Sirius Kyle – Shortly after the start was tightened.

 

8 Big Wednesday – Leaving the 1st turn was galloped on.

 

10 Sirius Bill – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn improved onto and was checked, approaching the back turn was checked.

1 Token Pass – Into the 1st turn was tightened, entering the back straight was checked, approaching the back turn was checked.

 

2 My Shrek – Slow to begin, entering the back straight was checked.

 

7 Ebony Princess – Entering the back straight was checked.

 

8 Courageous Carol – Slow to begin.

3 Vixon Lad – Through the 1st turn improved onto heels.

 

6 One More Time – Slow to begin.

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MIXED 3/4 431m

 

2 Velocity Ivana – Into the back turn was tightened and galloped on. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

4 She's Got Moves – Into the 1st turn was tightened.

 

5 Street Smart – Into the 1st turn was tightened, into the back turn improved onto heels.

 

6 Diva's Boy – Into the 1st turn was tightened.

 

7 Got That Boodie – Into the 1st turn was tightened, rounding the home turn was tightened.

1 Battlefield – Into the turn improved onto heels.

 

2 Tiny Tank - Into the back turn was tightened, over the final stages shifted out.

 

4 Referral – Shortly after the start was tightened.

 

8 Red Buzz – Near the finish turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Tom Tzouvelis regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the submissions from Mr Tzouvelis, stewards deemed Red Buzz had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Red Buzz was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

 

 

 

Race 7 - GJ WALSH & CO NMW 520m

 

1 Showpiece – Slow to begin, in the 1st turn checked off heels, through the 1st turn was tightened between runner and was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hind toe and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

4 Zabdon La Miesha - Approaching the 1st turn was checked of heels.

 

 

 

Race 8 - CHASE NEWSPAPER 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 520m

 

2 Canya Bellatrix – Through the back turn was checked.

 

7 Energetic Cloud – Rounding the home turn checked between runners.

6 Always Broke – Into the 1st turn was tightened, leaving the 1st turn checked across heels.

 

7 Aerobic Rouge – Into the 1st turn was tightened, leaving the 1st turn was inconvenienced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin and was stood down from racing 7 days.
