7 Leo The Lion – Entering the back straight was checked and loses significant ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindleg webbing. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 14 days.

2 Spensor Franklin – Late scratching, TAB notified of scratching @ 11:54am.

 

5 Out of Aussie – Shortly after the start was checked. Entering the home turn appears awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury the offside wrist. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 7 days.

8 Bold Gambler – Beaten favourite. Held wide throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 11 - TAB MA5 431m

 

7 San Marco – Shortly after the start was tightened and proceeded to trail the field throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer M Edwards regarding the greyhound’s performance. He stated that due to the greyhound’s recent injuries and racing incidents he believes it has lost confidence, and he intends to race the greyhound in less competitive areas.
