Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN 2 520m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE 2 520m

 

6 White Noise- Stewards spoke with licensed trainer Mr Ben McCarthy regarding White Noise’s racing action in the home straight. After reviewing all available replay footage and considering Mr McCarthy’s submissions, in that when My Jack crossed White Noise’s heels, the greyhounds made contact causing White Noise to be momentarily unbalanced. Stewards took no further action.

Race 4 - GREYHOUND OF YEAR - GALLOPING BLACK GRADE 5 (2) 3 630m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 5 - OWNER OF YEAR - BOARD RACING SYND MIXED 4/5 2 431m

 

2 Ivy Pearl- Commenced to weaken shortly after the start and trailed the field. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside back muscle and was stood down from racing for 28 days. Stewards further ordered that Ivy Pearl must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards before returning to racing.

 

Race 6 - FEMALE TRAINER OF YEAR - PAULINE BYERS MA5 2 520m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 7 - MALE TRAINER OF YEAR - PETER O'REILLY MIXED 4/5 2 520m

 

4 Tarawi Maple- Checked entering the first turn and commenced to weaken, taking no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside back muscle and was stood down from racing for 60 days. Stewards further ordered that Tarawi Maple must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards before returning to racing.

 

Race 8 - THE GOLDEN CHASE SPRINT FINAL OPEN 3 431m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 9 - SHIPWRECK AT STUD GRADE 5 (1) 2 431m

 

No significant racing incidents.

 

Race 10 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (2) 2 431m

 

1 Galway Meg- Severely checked entering he turn out of the back straight causing the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.
