Race 1 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MAIDEN 457m

 

4 Aston Athol - A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side shoulder injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

5 Specifically - Stewards ordered the scratching of the greyhound at 02:51pm under the provisions of GAR 19(4)(b), in the best interests of greyhound racing. An inquiry was opened and adjourned with trainer Chris Brydon to allow Stewards to review betting records. Samples were taken from the greyhound.

 

 

Race 2 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 6 (1) 352m

Race 3 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 6 (2) 352m

 

7 Phantom Peeler – Checked approaching the home turn, became unbalanced passing the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side shoulder injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

1 Freedom Is – Severely checked in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

3 Port For Shore – Checked in the back straight, gave ground in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 9 - SEN TRACK 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 457m

 

1 New Design – Trailed the field for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side shoulder injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

 

Race 10 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 5 GRADE 5 457m

 

6 Bug Me Not – Eased and turned its head inward towards another runner taking its attention away from the lure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Graham Hall regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 2nd offence – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

Race 11 - LADBROKES COMMUNITIES 5TH GRADE HEAT 6 GRADE 5 457m  

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 12 - LADBROKES FAST WITHDRAWALS 5TH GRADE HEAT 7 GRADE 5 457m

 

7 Del Greco - Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.
